Title: JM Roleplay
Description: C'mon novices, recruits, and soldiers!

Marian Skylas - November 4, 2004 01:40 AM (GMT)
Okay, well, I was just reading one of the Spam threads, started by Elysia -- Come on now! Activity! There was a suggestion by Cayana Sedai, O Great and Powerful Mistress of Novices:

QUOTE
hehe how about setting up a plot for the JM's yourself and let people have something to respond to? It might get activity up if everyone did that ;)

So here I go! I want to make a JM (also known as junior member) plot! I have no ideas really, but if anyone wants to join in, that'd be fabulous! Anyone got ideas?

By the way, any other members are welcome as well. ;)

Rialt Erydinan - November 4, 2004 01:42 AM (GMT)
*makes a mental of how proud he is of this Novice taking the initiative and watches the events from the shadows* :ph43r:

Marian Skylas - November 4, 2004 01:59 AM (GMT)
*grin*

Well, yes... Now, we just actually need A plot or something... Hmm... All the JM members could join up and eat in the Mess Hall... or scrub the Mess Hall's floor. Perhaps we could all break into song, like it's a musical or something...

Okay, so I'm not serious about the musical part, but other things... sure. Otherwise, if we could have a senior member's help, we could study "circles" and stuff...

Marian Skylas - November 4, 2004 02:01 AM (GMT)
Actually, I suppose before we actually do the circle thing, or if we ever do, I have to take my Saidar lesson. Etain (my mentor) said we'd get to it in a couple days, after she and I settle in, since we're both new. So scratch the circle idea, 'cause I want to roleplay too!

Katae Miranir - November 4, 2004 02:45 AM (GMT)
Yay, a musical! Let's get out mops out and sing!

*tries to dance with mop, fails*

Amaray Al'Nym - November 4, 2004 02:57 AM (GMT)
I was really excited for a minute there when you said musical :P

j/k ;)

I have no ideas :/ I'm not so good with those, but I like to rp :P

Marian Skylas - November 4, 2004 03:07 AM (GMT)
 Ok, well when we do, think of something, join in! I'm still thinking along the lines of the Mess Hall... Perhaps a massive cleaning, or something... But I don't know that recruits clean...

Etain Isolde - November 4, 2004 03:14 AM (GMT)
Actually, I have an idea for the JMs Marian *grins* it involves you as well. So... I got it approved by Mother and our Keeper and I should be posting it within the next few days. The genius of it *Grins evilly* :whistle

Rialt Erydinan - November 4, 2004 03:29 AM (GMT)
<_< <_< *ponders what it is.....cant wait*

Valarian - November 4, 2004 07:16 AM (GMT)
I think it's interesting that there are JM's feeling bored, while nobody responds to my post in the city. I especially made the post on freeday, it's not too long and it gives a JM the opportunity to RP in the city... But I guess none of you wants to meet the Rei al'Aman Val... <_<

Shaya - November 4, 2004 07:26 AM (GMT)
YOu made a post in the city?? 0.o 0.o

Omg.. I missed that!!
I know how you feel though, I've got a few unanswered threads out there, I think the board settings by default make them dissapear after a couple of weeks as well :(

nyways, I'm all up for a big JM plot RP thingie!!

Marian Skylas - November 4, 2004 09:00 PM (GMT)
Sorry, Valarian!

Are novices even allowed in the city? I don't believe they were in the books, but again, I'm a newbie, so what do I know!

I'll be sure to participate in that one, Cayana Sedai! :)

Cayana Alhi - November 4, 2004 09:39 PM (GMT)
Novices aren't allowed in the City no, but on freedays there are exceptions. (Though even I missed the freeday, silly me being on LoA and all :P)

When did I post here?

Anyway just wanted to say that I find it great Marian that you started this ^^ *hugs*

Marian Skylas - November 4, 2004 09:44 PM (GMT)
Ack! Sorry, it was my own mentor that posted, not you!

So I'll be sure to join in that one, Etain Sedai.

*smacks head* Fool, novice me...

Marian Skylas - November 5, 2004 02:16 AM (GMT)
Ok so here's my plan, since I can't think of anything else and others haven't seemed to come up with other ideas...

I suppose this has to be approved by one of the Admins or something... So here goes!

The Really Awesome Junior Member Plot! (The title was jut for the effect...)

Who? All of the novices, recruits, and soldiers! As well as any other members that wish to over see us!

Where? The Tower Grounds!

What? Cleaning windows, shining walls... You know, the usual chores!

Why? To have a constant roleplay going, so we all have stuff to reply to! Also so our character can meet each other. You know, make friends, become enemies...

How? Once this (hopefully) gets approved, I'll make a post in the Tower Grounds. I'll post a link here! Then, go reply with your best roleplaying skills!

When? When I get this approved and post it!

So it's your choice, I guess. You could be a nasty little junior member and dump the washing water over a passing novice or something, but my goal is to get at least one fourth of the site's junior members to post, at least once, in the thread. You are not required to, but it gives you something to roleplay to. Next time, I'll hopefully have been here for awhile, and I'll actually be able to come up with a better plot... ;)

By the way, one fourth of the site's junior members would be about 8 members. Now, it'd be even better to aim for like... 15. Go break a window or something...

I figure I'll probably get permission to do this, but I'll wait it out anyway.

Amaray Al'Nym - November 5, 2004 03:55 AM (GMT)
just aquick question, is there somewhere I can look to read up on site rules so to speak? I'm not sure where I'm allowed to post and where I'm not allowed to :)
thanks :)

and I think that roleplay sounds cool :)

Marian Skylas - November 5, 2004 04:13 AM (GMT)
Good, I'm glad you think so! As to the rules, I'm not really sure... I'm only a novice. I know there are some rules on the webpage. A link to that is in Mother's profile, I believe. The Mistress of Novices has some rules for us novices in her study, and I don't really know otherwise. You could probably also ask this in the Questions & Answers forum. ;)

Eithne Fayre - November 5, 2004 10:05 AM (GMT)
Recruits are allowed everywhere except the Dormitories -- the novice places basically -- and the Soldiers' barracks I believe. The Aes Sedai section should be okay, but you'd need a good reason to be there. ;) The City, and anything outside of Tower grounds, would be off-limits.

... I think. :look

Shaya - November 5, 2004 11:35 AM (GMT)
I think you should go ahead and post Marian, I'm sure there's no objection against having a thread in TG for all JM's.

Elysia - November 5, 2004 01:45 PM (GMT)
I have actually been working on a plot myself.. a little intruige ;0)
But, however, I refuse to make an effort and start something unless there is some activity... I have been waiting for over ONE MONTH for some of those I am RP:ing with to reply.. and yes, I have sent PM. :thump:

well.. I guess I missed their leave or something.

Alilisa Kardef - November 5, 2004 06:11 PM (GMT)
Did someone say plot? :evil

Marian Skylas - November 5, 2004 09:10 PM (GMT)
Can I post it? :D

Go plotters!
