Title: An Exercise (From Tower Grounds)
Description: ATTN: ALL NOVICES and MoN

Etain Isolde - November 11, 2004 07:27 PM (GMT)
OOC: So a little something that I thought up for a novice plot. We'll see if it works out n'such... ^^ Only novices for now.

IC: Etain of the White Ajah was seated on a bench in the garden, waiting. She knew she would have to wait if all of the novices were to get there... but waiting was alright, as long as she had Cayana with her. Waiting alone could get tiresome.

The assembly of novices would lead to a small exercise she had devised for them, something for the novices to learn from and to enjoy. It would be interesting to see how it would all work out, and how long it would take to put into motion. Hopefully it would be soon. She had sent a novice to go through all the dormitories and alert any novices of the coming assembly, so hopefully quite a number should show up.

It was a nice day, but she knew how it went with nice days. They would start out nice, make a person feel wonderful, weightless, and then they would come crashing down. It didn't always happen like that, but usually. And usually was a larger percent of the time than unusually. She didn't know what had made her call the assembly in the Tower Grounds; most likely she had just wanted a quick breath of fresh air to wipe away the smell of stale books. She hated that smell and had no problem whatsoever with a little bit of spontaneity. In fact, she was one of those who supported spontaneity in its fullest because there was nothing more enjoyable then to experience something unexpected.

As she sat on the bench, she caught sight of her mentee in the distance, on her hands and knees doing some chores. As soon as she saw the Aes Sedai she was sure to come over... this was important. Not in the sense that she would inflict punishment, but quite the opposite.

The sun shone across the tower, but since it was nearing winter and the cold was seeping across the lands, the sun sent a layer of warmth over one's skin instead of beating down relentlessly. The air was a purifying shock of ice in her lungs that cleansed away the old breath she had already used up. Although it sounded quite stupid to be thankful for air, that's what Etain was at the moment. It was awesome to hear her thoughts and then see the expression... her expression never conveyed her thoughts and even during her most severe moments of happiness, her face showed only that she was interested but nothing more.

Good, she thought as she saw some novices coming towards her, they are on time. I should have more faith in them sometimes... they are just as good as I was. She laughed inwardly at the thought... just as good as she was as a novice.

Marian Skylas - November 11, 2004 10:07 PM (GMT)
Marian rushed outside curiously, hurrying across the lawn. Even she didn't know what her mentor had in store for them... She hoped the other novices would hurry up. She wanted to get started with...whatever it was. She spotted her mentor down the lawn, and she walked more quickly.

She approached Etain Sedai and gave her a deep, graceful curtsy. She was much more at ease than the first time she had met her. With a smile she said, "Good afternoon, Etain Sedai." She looked up to see the novices leaving the Tower. "I did as you asked," she explained, nodding to them. Etain Sedai had asked her to round up the novices.

She took a place, standing in the sun.

((OOC: Sorry, it's a bit short, and I guess I kind of god-moded you asking me to round up the novices, but I did do that. If you don't like that, I will edit it. :)))

Alilisa Kardef - November 12, 2004 03:10 PM (GMT)
Alilisa lifed up the bottom of her dress so she could run in to where she needed to be. It was already late, and she didn't want to keep The Aes Sedai waiting. At one point she almost triped, but caught herself just in time.

When she arrived in the lawn she say Marian standing by Etain Sedai. Both were waiting for the rest of the novices it appeared. Alilisa curtisied before Etain Sedai. "I am here Etain Sedai." She said almost out of breath. It was a hot day and sweat was starting to trickle down Alilisa's brow. Alilisa wasn't quite sure what was going on, but she was sure she'd find out later.

Alilisa stood up from of the curtsy and stood by Marian.

Shaya - November 12, 2004 06:40 PM (GMT)
Shaya's curiosity had finally won when she had heard of the summons to the garden.
At first she had thought the time would be better spend reading up on a few things that still puzzled her, but when she saw other novices make their way down, she could not resist but at least go there and find out what this was about.

A few novices were already assembled that Shaya recognised from her classes and she wondered what this "exercise" was about.
She felt a little suspicious when she realised Etain Sedai was the one leading the exercise, for she found it hard to figure her out. She still wasn't sure about that one, there were so many contradictions in the small, frail looking woman, who had such strong presence.
She took up a position at the back, from which she could observe everything and everyone and folded her arms.
For now she would watch and hopefully she would gain something from the experience, one way or another.

Tsuki - November 13, 2004 10:42 AM (GMT)
Tsuki at last found place where she should be. She curtsied to Mistress of Novices and said:
''I have am here Etain Sedai.''
She stood right next to some Novice, she didn't know anyone yet so she felt a little uncomfortable.
I hope this will be like training back home. she thought, but deep inside of herself she knew that this will be much harder but she was sure she could do anything they tell her to do.

Etain Isolde - November 14, 2004 09:28 PM (GMT)
OOC: This will not work with just four novices... unless we want it to work, we need to find the rest of our novices.

Loriana Seshelle - November 14, 2004 11:11 PM (GMT)
Loriana walked quickly towards the garden. She didn't want to be late, but it was unbecoming of a novice of the White Tower to run. She couldn't. Wouldn't. As she exited the building, she spotted a group of novices around her mentor.

She headed quickly over to them, hoping she would not be punished for being late. She hated being late. It was more unbecoming than running, really. Her father always used to tell her that you could not command respect if someone thought that you didn't know where you were. Being late was a sign of being lost to Loriana, and as she progressed through the White Tower, she certainly wished to command respect. She vowed never to be late again, unless it was absolutely unavoidable.

She reached the group, cheeks pink from her hurried walk and the bit of chill in the air.

"I'm sorry I'm late Etain Sedai," she said, as she lowered herself into a deep curtsy, yet another thing that she disliked about the tower. At home, it was she who was curtsied to, more often than not. But in order to become Aes Sedai, she would have to show the respect deserved of her betters. "I was studying in the library. I lost track of time." She raised her eyes, to look at her mentor and gauge her reaction to her tardiness.

Markeyna Jenyai - November 15, 2004 04:38 AM (GMT)
Markeyna came out of the Tower and hurried over to where the novices were supposed to meet for some important excersise. She wasn't disappointed in the slightest for being interupted from her chores, and found herself actually looking forward to whatever was in store.

Rounding a bend, she took in the sight of several novices standing next to a bench with a woman sitting on it. The woman could be none other than an Aes Sedai. Her ageless face gave it all away, even from a distance. Curiousity grew as Markeyna came closer, wondering all the more what was happening.

Upon reaching the group she recognized the Aes Sedai, a woman called Etain. Dropping into a curtsy, she meet the Aes Sedai's gaze as she apologized for being late. "My apologies Etain Sedai." Other novices would look away, but Markeyna would not. She liked to study people, and how could that be accomplished if she always looked away.

Mika Soljourn - November 16, 2004 01:01 PM (GMT)
Mika hurried trough the halls of the White tower. After that other novice had come to tell her about the meeting in the garden she had been anxious all day untill it was time to gather.

As she arrived at the place she noticed that there already were quite a lot of novices that had gathered and meekly she curtsied to the white sister and sat down somewhere besides two other novices.
She had been in the tower for quite a while by now and she had started to get to know quite a few of the novices by now, but these two she did not know however.

Silent as ever she just sat down and watched the Aes Sedai in silence.
There had been a time.... about two years ago when she had just arrived in the tower and had been terrified of anything that had even remotely something to do with the One Power. Now however she knew that it was part of life, part of her life, just as this place.

((sorry for the shortness, I'm not exactly in the right place or time to RP but wanted to at least be in this RP))

Elysia - November 18, 2004 11:31 AM (GMT)
Elysia walks hurriedly to the place she had been told by another novice to be and looked around. Quite a gathering of novices indeed. She smiled towards the ones she recognized and looked curiously at the ones she never had spoken to, perhaps there was some nice ones out there who she could make friends with? She surely hoped so and a smile formed on her face.

She curtsied infront of the Aes Sedai respectfully. "I am here, Aes Sedai." and then she took some steps back and waited patiently.

(OOC: Sorry for the short post. Couldn't come up with more to write...)
