Title: Barriers
Description: Attn: Novice friends!

Marian Skylas - January 24, 2005 11:03 PM (GMT)
((OOC: This is for all the novices and me, since I haven't had a chance to RP with everyone since I've been raised to Accepted. ))

Marian went into the Mess Hall, familiar sights and smells greeting her. Novices were scattered around the hall, many of which she recognized. There were some of the initiates from the Black Tower as well. There were many girls of her own rank - Accepted, but she didn't know many of them yet. Lately, Marian had felt rather lonely, since all her friends were still novices. She couldn't wait until they were raised, but she also feared for their passing the Three Arches. Oh, she had the confidence that they could do it, but she still had nightmares about the silver ter'angreal that had revealed her fears. Marian's fears still troubled her, and she wondered why she feared them above all things. The fear of Seshi being taken away was no surprise, but the others were quite interesting. She left those thoughts to be pondered on a long night.

Taking up a spot in line, she crossed her arms and watched the hall, deep in thought. She didn't know how much she was allowed to still associate with the novices, now that she was Accepted. She hadn't been around them as much anymore. She still had vigorous chores to do, probably to put off any odd Accepted that had passed, but were not strong enough to be Aes Sedai. Marian had taken up her own advanced Saidar training in the Training Halls with the Amyrlin Seat. Oh, Marian was far from not busy, but it wasn't in the same way as it had been in as a novice. She missed doing chores with her friends, though she was sure she'd be assigned duty with them at some point. Would they still accept her? Her blood grew cold at the thought of them not. That had been one of her fears - not being accepted.

That one puzzled her. Marian had never known that she really cared about being accepted or not. She'd always been kind to others, but... Shaking her head, she took the food without making a face that day and went to find an empty table to sit down. Marian began eating. She had outgrown the distasteful remarks about the food long ago, but even if she hadn't, she was deep in thought, thinking about her studies. She hardly noticed when someone approached her table. "What?" she said blinking, and looking up at the person who had arrived.
