((OOC: For being out during the night --
Reasons. It's only fair, and it's about time, isn't it? ;)))
Marian rose early from her bed that morning, far before the chimes rang, despite the hour that she had been up until the previous night. She'd met with her mentor, Sapphira Sedai, in the late hours of the night, but it wasn't without a good cause. While the night before, she'd felt awful and grief-ridden, Marian now felt a sense of direction. She felt refreshed and renewed, ready to carry on with the stressful Tower life. Light, she couldn't imagine what it was like to be Amyrlin Seat. She didn't think she could handle such a position. Pulling on her Accepted dress, she looked at the banded hem and wondered how long it would be that she had to keep wearing that. She smiled. Even if it took years, she was determined to be raised to Aes Sedai. She would be Aes Sedai, hopefully of the Gray Ajah.
Nevertheless, Marian knew she had broken the rules. She knew perfectly well that novices and Accepted were not allowed to wander the Tower after hours. She would accept the consequences of her actions. She'd known that she'd probably recieve some sort of punishment for such when she'd left her room that night. She sighed as she brushed her hair. It was about time for her to get a black mark on her record...
When the bells chimed, she was ready to go, and as she had promised her mentor, she headed straight for Cayana Sedai's study. She had said first thing in the morning, and even breakfast would not stand in the way of that. She hurried down past novices and other Accepted who were headed blurry-eyed for their first meal. She didn't pause to stop to talk to any of her friends either. Upon reaching Cayana Sedai's door, she knocked briskly and waited for someone to allow her to enter.
When she was allowed in, she curtsied deeply to the Mistress of Novices, whom she had never visited in this position before, that is, on punishment, and looked up at the Aes Sedai. "Good morning, Cayana Sedai," she said respectfully. "I'm here on account of punishment for being out of my room after hours last night." The Aes Sedai probably knew about it already, but just to clarify... Marian waited patiently for Cayana Sedai's response. She wasn't likely to be extremely upset, considering that Marian had never gotten in trouble during her novice years.
