3D Abstracts In Photoshop



Step 1 Make a 500x500 px image with black background.

Step 2 Place 3 Lens flares (Filter>Render>Lens Flare)[50-300m Zoom Mode] Like so

Step 3 Go to Filters>Sketch>Crome and put it a 10 Detail 0 Smoothness

Step 4 Press CTRl+U to Bring up Hue screen and Click the Colorize Button then put Saturation and Hue Completly to the right.

At this point you should have somthing like this

Step 5 Go Here user posted image
Put in 500 width and 250 and Click and Drag it to top aligning with top and the sides press
CTRL+C Right slick your selection and Press Invert Selection. Go to Image>Crop.

Step 6 Create a new layer and then press Ctrl+v.Make sure you have the newly pasted layer slected and go to blending options.
(Where you see Normal above layer box) Click the down arrow and Select Multiply.

You should come up with this

Now to futher beyond that. Adjusting the blending options will give you diffrent effects.I suggest Multiply,Screen,Darken,Lighten,Linear Burn,Linear Dodge.
Adjusting the hue is also important to your outcome play around with the Satruation to adjust how vibrant the color is and hue adjust the color.
Also other ways to make it better is Polar Cordinates and Prespective. It gives you a strong 3d Look to it.Here is example of polar cordinates at work (See attach)
Multiple layer of your same work can also add a better look just duplicate a bunch and Distort it in Diffent way and play around with the blending.

See how Diffrent this one is? Thats how much it matters by distorting and hue.

blink.gif meh i think its a nice tut but i cant see anything...EVERY pic is replaced with the Angelfire thing...how can i get that away?
