So I was thinkin, what's so great about basement hopping? I mean, to me it seems pointless, atleast doing it every night. We need to end thid nonsense. Don't try to trick yerself, if you do it more than once a week, you are addicted. Get yer butt out of the house and do stuff. Oh, and here's the sad realization, it may cost money and take a little imagination to do something other than nothing. Sorry to break it to the diseased basement lovers, but it is true.

My basement is full of stuff that I've bought with my own money for over the last year, so I am set down here.

My basement is also my room. Like Neo, it is full of things I have bought with my own money. Everything I need is donn here, with the exception of food and drink. However, when I get bored I do go do stuff...such as movies, mall, or hang out at a friend's place.

what is basement hopping?

Basement hopping is doing nothing but going to people's basements on nights on end and doing nothing but watching B-list movies. Most of the time there is a sleeper, a horny person, a bored person and an intrigued person. There are many variations to it, but it is basically blowing countless hours in different basements doing basically nothing and being content with it.

That's the thing, Wang and I never do it and when we do it is because we are dragged into it. Wang and I are trying to stop people from doing this because it is the lowest form of being anti-social.

I think I should clear things up. I am one of the biggest basement hoppers. I want everyone to know that I too think it is boring and I am trying to quit. I have tried to do other things but nobody ever will. The only times when other people have wanted to do stuff I have been really tired and just wanted to relax.

i dont think being tired is an excuse to shut down socially and shut out friends. theres no point in hanging out with people if all they do is sleep when youre with them, and you do the exact same thing every time you get together.

exactly, you cant complain about it if you do nothing to stop it. then you arent doing anything to curb the inactivity, youre just promoting it. i do stuff when im a little tired, but i suck it up and think that doing something fun with friends is going to be better than just sitting on my ass all nite.
