There are some anniversaries that seem to grab our notice more than others. The first anniversary of something is always special, and after that we seem to focus on the ones that end in 5s and 0s. Well, today is one of those anniversaries -- Glitter has officially been up and running for five years. While trying to figure out just what to do to celebrate, we decided to look back to our first anniversary. Back in January of 2005, we celebrated with a t-shirt contest, so in grand Glitter tradition, we're gonna do another one!

Similar to the contest we did this summer, the winning design will be chosen by YOU, the fans, and will be featured on a number of items in the fanclub store. DIFFERENT from last time, this contest will also have a "mod's choice" winner, who will have their design featured on a tote bag and mug only. Both the fan's choice winner and the mod's choice winner will receive one free item with their design on it as their prize, along with the joy of being able to make all your friend go to the Glitter store and say to them "Look! I made that!"

THE DEETS:

All designs must be .jpg or .gif files, and must be 1200x1200 pixels, with a resolution of 300 dpi. If you are including a back image, it must be no larger than 1000x1000. (We know this seems HUGE, but that's the size cafepress needs to print a decent-sized quality image).

Each entry must be e-mailed to the fanclub coordinator email, coordinator.glitterstaff@gmail.com, along with a 400x400 version to be posted in the voting poll.

All designs must somehow celebrate the last five years of Glitter. If anyone would like info on the charities we've donated to/projects we've done to inlcude in their design, feel free to PM us and we will post them here. For the record, we have raised just over $70,000 in our five years! :)

No copyrighted material -- that means no direct lines from movies, no direct quotes from musicals, nothing from anything that is owned by somebody else!

No photos can be used in your design. This doesn't mean the design must be all text -- illustrations can be incorporated into your design, but no actual photos.

The deadline for all contest entries will be January 31st. Voting will begin on February 1st, and will conclude on February 14th. Assuming there are no ties, the winning design will be added to the store on February 15th.
