We know some of you are new to the whole auction biz, and some of you who aren't new may need a refresher, so this thread is here for you to post any and all questions/comments about this years' Kristin's Closet Auction and AIDS Walk team.

Hi and thanks for this thread - how did you know that some of us (ie me) would need a bit of an idiot's guide to the auction. Would you mind filling me in on what to do, when it starts etc etc I would be most grateful!!

We'll have all that info up over the next week or two. :) But you can check out the 2008 auction thread at the bottom of the forum's main page, which has the general auction rules. Ignore the dates though -- the dates change slightly every year.

It's awesome that a fan club is getting so much press coverage! Bravo Aly and Janice!!

I suspect that "several items" might be a SLIGHT underestimation of the amount of Cheno-related paraphernalia currently in residence at Aly and Janice's apartments lol.

Oh, this year's ENTIRE auction (save for 2 items) is residing in my abode! Much to the chagrin of mah roommate...though this year at least we haven't had a bike in the living room for 5 months! ;)

Which means everything for the meet-up auction and next year's auction is currently taking up space in my closet, the front hall closet, and some of my floor.

Let's not discuss the way I rant about the fanclub and Kristin every time I try to clean my room and have no space for my own crap! lol

This year there is no great big item. We had SO many smaller items we thought it better to do more auctions which allow for more winners! There are going to be about 42 auctions all together. Kristin and her assistant did some hard-core spring cleaning! lol :D

okay... am I the only one bidding on things in the auction :blink: if so YAY I win everything! and Awww.. I can't raise the moneys on my own :(

More people will bid as it gets closer to closing time. They always start slow, and then the last day or two it picks up. :)
