Entrance Hall
Double oak front doors, opening to the west. Large, cavernous room, lit by torches, with ceiling so high it's barely visible. Wide marble staircase opposite the front doors (east wall) leads up to first floor. Double doors to the right (south wall) lead into the Great Hall.

Great Hall
Vast chamber with an enchanted ceiling that mirrors the sky outside. Four long tables for the four houses. Closest to the doors from the Entrance Hall is Slytherin, then Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and next to the far wall, Gryffindor. The teachers sit at the High Table, a table on a raised platform at the front of the room.

Sorting Hat
The hat is battered and old; it's patched, frayed, and extremely dirty. In order to speak and sing, a tear along the brim opens like a mouth. It speaks inside of the hat with a small, quiet voice to the wearer and it can read thoughts and respond to them. Let's see what house you belong to!

Headmaster Dumbledore's Office
The entrance to the headmaster's office at Hogwarts is behind a statue of a gargoyle. When given the proper password, the gargoyle will leap aside, and the wall behind it will split in two to reveal a spiral stone staircase that moves like an escalator.

Owlery
The Owlery was a circular stone room, rather cold and drafty, because none of the windows had glass in them. The floor was entirely covered in straw, owl droppings, and the regurgitated skeletons of mice and voles.

Hogwarts Grounds
The grounds are quite extensive. With a large forest, filled with different sorts of magical creatures. A lake, for swimming or skating, whichever the season be. Much adventures can be placed on these grounds.

Care of Magical Creatures
Students at Hogwarts start Care of Magical Creatures in their third year. They study the life cycles of various magical creatures, some of which can be rather dangerous. They learn to care for, feed, and manage the creatures, and also learn lore about them and how to use them (or parts of them) for magical purposes.

Hogsmeade
Hogsmeade is the only entirely wizarding village in Britain. During the holiday season, enchanted candles hang in the trees. Hogwarts is located across the lake from Hogsmeade, and the Hogwarts Express stops at the station there to disembark the students at the start of term.

Diagon Alley
Tapping just the right brick in the wall behind the Leaky Cauldron pub in London ("Three up...two across...") will reveal an archway which is a portal into Diagon Alley, a long cobbled street where is to be found a strange and exciting assortment of shops and restaurants.

Knocturn Alley
Knockturn Alley is a dingy alleyway where the shops are devoted to Dark Arts items. The alley is connected to Diagon Alley near Gringotts.

Platform Nine and Three-Quarters
In order to catch the Hogwarts Express train to Hogwarts, students must board at Platform Nine and Three Quarters at Kings Cross Station. This Platform is not visible to Muggles.
