If you were an Animagus, what animal would you be?

It's cool that McGonagall is a cat, but it would so NOT be useful! Cats can't fly, or hold things, or open doors, etc.

And can you choose mythical animals, like a griffin?

If I could be anything at all, I think I would be a winged imp - I would have hands, for holding things, and wings for flying, and when I was threatened I could release a wickedly horrific smell. :eyebrows:

If I had to be something real, though, I would choose a tiny fruit bat.

If I were an Animagus, I would be a dog, just like my fave character, Sirius! I don't know, I just think it would be cool to be a dog. (Mine is soooooo lazy, and I wanna be lazy for a day!)

Actually I was thinking of a basilisk (the real basilisk that's a lizard). I would be small, reptillian and I could walk on water!!

A Hippogriff would be cool with the flying and just the sheer awesomeness(is that a word...well it is now. :-) of them. But I think for me, they would be too large, Id want something smaller so I could be more agile, fit into more places. Maybe an Eagle...or a Hawk...specifically a Red Tail Hawk, those are really amazing creatures. I helped rehab one for the vet I work at...all I can say is WOW. Altho Screech Owls are adorable, we have one of these at work too...he is our mascot...has only one eye due to an accident and he is sooooo cute! Hmm well definite bird theme....just not sure which.

Getting into tight places....hmmmm....*Darcy pauses to think for a moment......then shakes off her fog and blushes. Clears throat.* Umm..., yeah, see that's why I was thinking a cat. One, I love cats. Two, they're handy. But--can't fly....that's a drawback.

We have a flying squirell at work, his name is peanut. he came to us as a rehab case...hes awaiting his release date now...hes very cute. He has a funny little flat tail...it acts as his *rudder* when he jumps..he can steer with it in the air...very cool.

Well, I'm not a big fan of bugs that fly....anything else is probably ok.

In the state of MS, anything native to the state can not be kept as a pet..like our native wildlife...so Im thinking they cant be regular pets... kinda like squirels and raccoons that sort of thing..just safer for all involved to let them be wild..they carry tooo much zoonotic junk to be good pets.

Im not a big fan of *bugs* in general....altho when I see a neat one I can appreciate it...just dont like them and REALLY would prefer they stay the heck OUT of my house! We have skeeters here big enough to carry small pets off, LOL

Well I want to be a phoenix and I could never die also I could heal people with my tears, I can also fly!!! Woot :D I can also carry heavy loads and I would be loyal to Dumbledore and sacrifice my own life for him. :D
