yea, Ive been there..I think that is where I saw those folks engaged in an awful discussion and bashing of HP fans who really believe in magic. I *THINK* that was the site..on one of the chat rooms or forums or something....some of those folks were *not* behaving in any way remotely as they say Christians should. <sigh> something very common I have found....easier to just judge and find blame in others than to look in the mirror and really *see* your own faults. Of course, this is true in most cases..not just religious matters. I know Darcy posted earlier her personal beliefs and I can not express how much I wish others followed her example. She has personal beliefs and they work for her...shes not about to shove it down anyones throat...you cant *force* a religion on someone. Something that intimate, that personal..it is a decision made with your heart and mind and something you just know is right. To attempt to force it on someone...well it just violates the purity of the whole thing. I just dont understand how some folks do that and think its how things are supposed to be done.
Sorry, I know Im kinda getting ona soapbox here, I just get so tired of nearly everyday having certain religions shoved in my face I dont follow. I love my country, where we have freedoms to express ourselves in our own religious beliefs, but I fail to see the good in it when one uses our freedoms in an attempt to strangle out other folks. UGH
OK so some of this (ok most..ok all) comes back to my personal home life and has nothing to do with much of anything else....I just had to vent..sorry, and thanks.
Thanks for the props about my view point. I'm thankful for the way I was raised (going to church, etc.), but I've seen a lot of Christians that give Christians a bad name, 'cause they treat people that are the slightest bit different like trash! Sorry, but that's not what I learned in Sunday School! LOL!
