Alright here ya go.

First, I would have the banner at the top be smaller. It's a pain to have to scroll practiacally half way down the page to see the topics in the threads.

Second, I would either change the background color so all house colors show up, or offer a few different skins.

Third, I wouldn't have so many smilies availalble to see right away. Maybe only have fifteen of the most popular showing and then have the link for the others. Again, it's kind of a pain to scroll half way down the page for something.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the house points don't really get the house anything but pride with no reall end in sight, right? Well, I was thinking that MAYBE we could do something like once a week or once a month (once a month would probably be easier) we could post a "winning" house for the month---the house with the most points. I think that would give people more desire to get points and therefore boost activity. Plus, I'm really competitive and I like to win. BUT----if we do this, we might need to add a couple more ways to get points.....just a thought. :D

I really like Mrs. Black's idea. And I could help you make some more ideas for points...heck we could get teachers to make lessons and ask questions.

I don't like the points idea but that's just cause I can't earn any, unless Miss Wendy changes that.

When I first started the points I thought I might award some kind of award to the winning house every 6 months. How would that be? (That would make August 15th the day we would announce the winner :nod: )

The only thing about lessons is that I've been on a lot of boards where they tried that, but it just doesn't work. Either the teachers stop posting lessons, or the members just stop participating in them. :(

Wow 6 months sounds like a long time!! I like the idea of once a month, but you are the one that has to do all of the work. So it's up to you. Six months is better than nothing.

Do you think we could appoint a deputy headmistress for times when you are gone?

Maybe once we get more members and it's a bit more needed, but for now I don't really think it's necessary. Besides, I don't really go anywhere for more then a week. :)

How about this....then topic posts reach more than 20 pages they are locked right? well I see some that are old..theyve been replaced since like January (some older I think ), but are still there..can we get them to go away? Like the big HP message board retirement village in Florida..a nice little condo maybe? LOL Just get them off the board...they are taking up space, ya know?
