They are saying that he will still be able to film OotP after "Driving Lessons" if he chooses to.

I really want to see Rupert out of the Ron Weasley role. I don't know how I would react to it, but it definitly would be interesting.

I think that Rupert is one of the few child actors in the HP series who could pull off another roll. Emma and Tom could probably do it as well, but I don't think that Dan or anyone else for that matter could.
