My fave movies are way too manyto name, but my sister and I can quote entire scenes of dialogue from The Breakfast Club (I  John Bender!)

I have quite a few on my best of all time list, but I especially love the James Bond series!

rupert4eva - February 24, 2004 06:22 PM (GMT)
James Bond films are cool, but I've only seen a few!

bluejeanbaby - February 24, 2004 11:44 PM (GMT)
I've never really been able to get into any of the James Bond films. I thin the main reason is because I don't like really like Sean Connery, and while I know that he isn't the only JB, I stil have very little interst in them.

well Big D, lol, I was wondering if we would ever part ways on anything..as so far I have pretty much been forced to agree with just about everything you've said.. I have heard raving reviews of *The Trilogy* but having never seen it...ok so I watched a few episodes on tv...I never got into it, like so many have. Just not my thing..... altho I am a big sci fi fan....the Star Wars thing just never really caught me...

bluejeanbaby - September 2, 2004 03:44 AM (GMT)
Ok, first of all WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?! How can you have NEVER seen the Star Wars Trilogy? You've gone without Luke, Leia, Han ( ), Chewie, R2-D2 and C3-PO??? And second of all Star Wars was never a series on television, that would be Star Trek, almost as good as Star Wars but not the same!! Not even in the same league!

I'm going to give you some words of advice, rent the movies! Make yourself sit and watch them and you'll be glad that you did.

Blue

Did you ever think that we'd have to edumacate Anora, Mrs. Black? Jeez.

Han Solo.......I really don't need to say anything else........

but...

I agree, Blue. It's a shame indeed. But, Anora, soon you should be able to rent the DVDs!!!!!! *Darcy does a little dance*
I can't believe that after all these years.......they are FINALLY coming out on DVD!

bluejeanbaby - September 3, 2004 02:24 AM (GMT)
Yeah, but did you hear that they are changing the voice of Anakin (not Darth) to match that of Hayden Christianson? They're making all kinds of editing changes to match the technology in the first three.

They just need to leave the Trilogy well enough alone.

Blue

darcyblack - September 3, 2004 04:28 AM (GMT)
Grrrr......I know......
But, I'm sure that they will eventually come out with the "originals"

bluejeanbaby - September 3, 2004 02:35 PM (GMT)
I hope so. I'll buy those, but I don't know about these "newer" ones that they want to make.

I've been trying to catch up on movies that I missed from the 80's and 90's lately.......Hey, old ladies.........what would y'all say are "must-sees" from those time periods?

Fawkes_the _Phoenix - September 4, 2004 01:44 AM (GMT)
Well I am not that old but my I suggest watching M*A*S*H the movie or, this movie I love but I forgot the name of but the main story plot is during one of the wars which where all the men went to war and all the ladies stay home or work, somebody decided to make a women's league for baseball and so women tried out and were split into teams... Its just all about sisters and teammates that have to get along and stuff...Oh also Tom Hanks is in it.[srry if thats not a good summary]
Also what kind of movies do you like?

Hmmm, "must-sees" from the 80's and 90's

>Garden State (it's new, but EVERYONE should see this movie)
>Chasing Amy
>The Breakfast Club (probably already seen this one, but yeah)
>A Time to Kill
>The Client
>Clerks
>Mallrats (can you tell I'm a Kevin Smith fan?)
>Sixteen Candles (one of the best Molly Ringwald movies ever, made me wish I was her when I was little)
>Wild Hearts Can't be Broken
>The Neverending Story (not 2 or 3, but this one is great)
>The Matrix
>Fast Times at Ridgemont High
>Welcome to the Dollhouse
>Boys Don't Cry (may not be everyone's cup of tea)
>Dirty Dancing (can't go wrong with a classic)
>Shakespeare in Love
>Scream (1,2,&3)
>A League of their Own (this is what Canada was trying to recommend)

That's all I got right now. If you aren't old enough to see an R rated movie (I'm not talking about you Darcy :P ) I would be cautious in renting or watching some of these, especially Boys Don't Cry, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and Welcome to the Dollhouse.
