today...i climbed a mountain...it wasn't really as big as some other one's i've climbed. It was only about 800 feet. BUT MAN WAS IT HARD!! it was rocky and rugged. I slipped and fell quite a few times...and there was no ropes, no rockclimbing gear, we only used our hands and feet. i've hiked and rockclimbed dozens of mountains in my lifetime...And the one who was furtherst up the trail...the one who left us all in the dust...the one professional rockclimber who never tired out...was my dog max.
Climbing up the steep mountain was fun...For the first fifteen minutes. then it started getting HARD! And it's up very high...a very steep mountain. It was getting sort of hard to breath up there. Then, My stomach began to ache. That wasn't good. O_O i hurled a little bit, but kept moving. I was far behind my dad and brother, because i was taking time to enjoy the scenery. But as soon as i started again, I slipped on some loose rocks and tumbled down the side of a hill. Owie! I'm a little bruised...but i'm okay. Then on the hike downhill i was FAR ahead of my dad and little brother. I darted down each and every rock downhill. Clinging to some with my hands and springing off of some with my feet. A slipped a few times...for someone with martial arts reflexes, i'm a bit of a klutz. v_v; then after many falls, slips, tumbling down hills. i prevaled, I just said to myself, "Failure is not an option." But then my brother and dad were ahead of me again. T_T I ignored the path and went through some bushes and unbroken trails. BUT THEY WERE STILL AHEAD OF ME!! grr!! then i fell one last time. I stayed ont he ground for a moment...And then i thought "So what if they're ahead. Failure is Not a weakness..."
Yay for you! I have to climb a massive one in grade 11 camp but I can't wait!
that's so cool.... lol..
i climbed a mountain before and i have to agree with suki-chan.. it's no picnic!
it wasn't as big as some other one's i've climbed...but it was still pretty cool.
