Woot! I'm finally back from my 3 months of disappearing. Sorry about that everyone, but I can't mess up my new computer like the last two I had, and stupid Hostultra has dumb spyware installing themselves onto my computer. (I already talked about this in the news on the main page) *sigh* I'm still looking for a new host...a cheap one. Possibly a domain too...how does www.iy-universe.com sound to you? (iyuniverse.com has been taken :angry:)

So anyway, I'm trying to find something that's around $50-60/year or maybe even less...the problem is that there's so many video and music files on IYU that I need something with a lot of space and bandwidth. So I'll just kiss my dreams of cheap web hosting and free domains goodbye...

So anyway, I'll be hanging around the forums more often now that I finally remembered that there's still a way to communicate with my visitors...if I still have visitors, that is. Heh. *shakes head* Stupid Host Ultra...

PS - Oh yeah, I'm also aware that 35MB.com (the download site that's hosting all of the video clips) isn't working right now. I'm not sure if it's just having some downtime, or if it's out for good. Geez, so many problems...Hopefully it will get better when i get a new paid host...IF i get one..

The problem with angelfire is that it can only hold 20MB of space and I need at least 400MB with all the video files that we have...

Oh yeah, an update on the new host thing: I hafta wait till the weekend to ask my dad cuz he's too busy right now to do anything about buying a host. So yeah, I'll tell you more about it sometime this weekend. Also, it seems that 35mb is being stupid...I was able to log onto the FTP server but when I downloaded all the files they didn't work! *sigh* I got rid of all the files on my old computer, so I'll hafta make some new clips once i get everything figured out. Good thing I used 2 computers for making clips, cuz I still have about 1/3 of them saved in a zip file on another computer... :D

EDIT: Oh yeah, just a quick question...are the downloads on 35mb.com working for anybody? because it may just be my computer that has problems with it...

You can get multiple accounts at angelfire though. Just make sure each file doesn' t exceed 20mb. Good luck with the host! I'm not sure about 35mb since this comp is stupid, but the files get deleted if no one downloads them for 1 week, so that may be the reason why.

Oh yeah, i'll also be getting rid of all the affiliates that no longer exist and stuff, so affiliation might be open again...

ooh and also...i've got back-up files for all the videos and music, so...yeah. ^^

Have you ever considered getting hosted? I mean, like using the space of other people. You'd have a cooler Url, and it won't cost you any money. And you'd make a friend. Try Pick-Me and look around to find a host. You'd have to learn to use Ftp and install it but I recommend Smart Ftp.
