Title: MP3
Erasentia - January 7, 2006 11:39 PM (GMT)
I wanna dowload music off this site...how can I put it directly onto my mp3 player..its still giving me problems.
Skyde67 - January 7, 2006 11:56 PM (GMT)
I have an Mp3 player but it came with software.
Does yours?
If so, then I would download the music files on to your computer and then use the "import music" feature on your program to upload it into your Mp3 player.
If not, I would try to get into the Mp3 players hardrive and stick the files in that way.
Hope you can get it to work.
Just remember

I have had this Mp3 player since christmas, its one of those small skinny ones that came with only a disk...its a DMP 100 with FM radio

After looking up your model on the web, it said that it had a built in hard drive.
it says that it has memory cards also.
Found This For U, maybe it will help:
As the DMP-100 uses a parallel-port interface, there are definitely a couple of issues relating to installation. First and foremost is the fact that most people have a printer attached to the only parallel port on their system. This means that in order to use the DMP-100, it may be required to disconnect the printer quite a bit (depending how often you decide to download songs into the player). In addition, you must ensure your parallel port is operating in ECP mode. This is configured in your system's BIOS; typically under the Integrated Peripherals tab. Experienced computer users will be familiar with this setting, but some newer users may not.
Yours is definitely different than mine;mine is a creative labs zen micro.
It has a usb connector(similar to a digi. camera) and it's own hardware.
Keep posting if u need help; I'll try my best to help solve your problem. :)

Apparently, the"ECP mode can be found in the "Integrated Periphrials" tab.
I will insert the article here and u will see what i mean:

I need to see the picture. that will explain.
Skyde67 - January 8, 2006 01:17 AM (GMT)
The DMP-100 requires that your parallel port be set to ECP to properly function. As you already know, parallel connections are used mostly for printers these days. As technology kept advancing, a number of communications methods have changed over the years for the parallel connections. SPP, EPP and ECP are only a number of parallel ports modes available today. The ECP mode is required to use the DMP-100 player. You can find out if your parallel port is ECP enabled by taking a look at your hardware manager in the Control Panel (system) menu. Most newer PC’s should already have the ECP mode enabled, if by any chance it’s disabled you will have to proceed enabling it by entering your Computer BIOS setup. Consult your mainboard manual for further information.
In this paragraph they say that u can see wether or not the ECP mode is enabled by going to "Control Panel" on your computer.
Your system is weird, I must say...
but It could be worse.
