Dungeons and Sub-Levels
As many floors as there are that bring the height of Hogwarts close to the sky, there are still two that reside below the Ground Floor. These are where the more mysterious and dark secrets and myths of Hogwarts lie. Some say that once, back when Salazar Slytherin himself was alive, one of the abandoned rooms was actually a torture chamber for any students who failed their Potions exams.

Ground Floor
Upon entering through the grand doors of Hogwarts, this is the first floor you will step onto. By fallowing the hallways that lead away from the Entrance Hall, you will soon be delivered either to the finest eating establishment around, a beautiful courtyard that blooms year-round, or, Merlin forbid, the horrid Caretaker's Office. Choose your path wisely!

First Floor
After climbing up the single set of stationary stairs in all of Hogwarts, stare in wonder at the lovely stone wall before you. Turning to your left or right will present you with the site of corridors of classrooms and offices for Professors who teach in the vicinity. Few classrooms are left unused after the influx of new classes for returning Alumni and those that are have recently been swept free of the cobwebs that once prevented you from even entering the room.

Second Floor
If you're lucky, the stairways will swing their way towards the more useful half the floor that isn't occupied by an annoying loud female ghost by the name of Myrtle. Multiple Defense classes occupy the once abandoned classrooms, a variance from the single Defense Against the Dark Arts class, whose Professor position appeared to be cursed, that had previously been offered. Now, many levels of Defense are offered at Hogwarts in an attempt to calm parents and assure them of their children's safety.

Third Floor
It appears that this floor must have been the last one created (illogical as that may seem) as all the rooms are filled with many odds and ends. There are a couple of trophy rooms, a room filled with ancient armor and weapons and even a room that appear to be the location of where all the trash in the castle is delivered. The Charms classroom is also located on this floor and because a commonly taught spell is one that cleans clothes, the floor rather spells like detergent.

Fourth Floor
Peeves appears to prefer this floor over any other as the Fourth Floor corridors are where you will see this poltergeist most often. Perhaps it's because of the fact that there is a room that when tap-danced on correctly, opens up a hidden staircase that leads back down to the Third Floor. Or perhaps not, considering Peeves doesn’t exactly have any feet. It must be, then, that Prefects are by far the best students torment and the staircase to their special bathroom happens to be located on this floor.

Fifth Floor
The Fifth Floor still holds memories from the year Umbridge dared to disturb the sturdy foundation Albus Dumbledore had built of Hogwarts. In the far corner of one of the corridors that branches off of this floor, a roped off area designates where Fred and George once created their magical swamp. Professor Flitwick occasionally tends to the pseudo-garden, but for the most part lets it grow wild and into whatever shape and direction it desires.

Sixth Floor
Since the Death Eater attack on Hogwarts two years prior, this floor has morphed into a Muggle Studies floor instead of just a single classroom. Should students wish to, they may take Muggle Math and Chemistry courses to supplement their required Arithmancy and Potions courses. Just recently, Muggle science theory has been finding its way into magical studies so that perhaps one day, the magical world may be exposed to Muggles slowly but surely. For now, however, witches and wizards will simply learn about their less magical counterparts which will hopefully breed acceptance.

Seventh Floor
Much mystery enshrouds this floor of the number seven... or perhaps it’s the heady aroma that still seems to linger, even three years after the departure of Trelawny, the crazy Divinations Professor. Very few classes are held on this floor, besides those that need access to the stars, and in recent years there seem to have been an increase in the number of parties that occur in the vicinity. Perhaps the altitude is getting to those Gryffindors and messing with their inner eyes…

Towers
The Towers of Hogwarts present a wonderful view of the landscape around the castle. If you stand from the highest tower, the North Tower, you can scan over the horizon of the Forbidden Forest, occasionally glimpsing the random exodus of a flock of birds or the shaking of treetops. Another tower, the West Tower, presents an altogether different view: one of many, many Owls. A bit scary if you don't like sharp objects such as beaks or claws, but if treated like royalty, these birds should be no bother.

The Grounds
Outside of Hogwarts Castle lies acre upon acre of forest and beautiful landscape. The Founders truly had picked a wonderful location to settle their school on as the vast amount of land secluded the children away from most outside worries enough to have them grow by themselves and provided them with an atmosphere that promoted learning. Sites like the lake also are a fun location when the sun is high in the sky and classes are blissfully not in session. Still, there is the ever present warning of not wondering too deep into the forest or provoking the Whomping Willow.

Hogsmeade
A quaint little village etched into the hearts of those who live in it, Hogsmeade has only really become a tourist attraction in the past couple of decades when Hogwarts students began visiting out of boredom, looking for something to do. Once of these students, Ambrosius Flume, thought that he might one day own a store here, a store filled to the brim with candy. That store is now Honeydukes, the first commercial venue in Hogsmeade. Other stores and pubs soon followed after to create the picturesque Hogsmeade that exists today.

St. Mungo's Hospital
St. Mungo’s Hospital was founded in the late 1500s by Mungo Bonham and was one of the first professional magical hospitals. The hospital’s efficiency is unmatched by any in the location and has become the first place people think of when it comes to treating loved ones. The building can be reached through Muggle London via Purge and Drowse Ltd. Simply speak to the dummy in the front window to be allowed entrance.

Ministry of Magic
Although employees and special guests may apparate or Floo directly into the Ministry of Magic, others must go through a broken-down red telephone box located on a busy street in London. To gain admittance, visitors must state their name and business, after which a silver badge slides out of the change dispenser with the visitor’s name and purpose of visit. The telephone box itself then works as an elevator by taking the visitor(s) underground to The Atrium.

Cape Monterey
Founded shortly before the rise of Voldemort, Cape Monterey hasn't been around long by any means, but long enough to have established a reputation of glitz, gore, and whatever else you might happen to name. It's a port town of shady operations appealing only to those of a generally much darker demeanor then most, or simply those stupid enough to brave the perpetual night. IP EXCLUSIVE.

Diagon Alley
Diagon Alley could easily be considered the heart of Wizarding Britain. As great as many large Muggle towns (or small cities), this Alley has so much to offer for everyone. Stores that sell items from Muggle scissors and paste to books that attempt to bite your hands off line the street with bright and lively advertisements, each one trying to outdo the other when it comes to grabbing your attention. There are also places for you to spend the night should you not be able to get all that you want done in one day.

Gryphon Meadows
Established in 1508 and located in England, Gryphon Meadows is one of the younger wizarding towns in Europe, and one of the hipper areas. A decidedly neutral ground, it attracts a younger crowd of all races [dead, furry, or just plain normal] and offers shops geared towards youth such as a Quidditch Stadium and a zoo among many other places to see. Students are permitted to visit at regular intervals such as Hogsmeade, but the age requirement is fifth year and up. Notices will be posted around the school for upcoming trips and announcements made during meals. IP EXCLUSIVE.

Residences
‘Residences’ is broad forum for any living home in the Great Britain area. If you would like to have a sub-forum within, your family must have at least three active members. Otherwise, simply post a topic with the name of your residence or where it is located. Students are not allowed to post here as they are currently living in the castle. However, exceptions are made by player request and during the holidays when students are visiting home.
