Title: Anyone Seen The Dogs Of War Recently?
Im the jar everyone loves! - May 27, 2009 08:00 PM (GMT)
Well, I've found my way back to these forums, hello again!
Anywhoo, I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find the pdf files with the Dogs of War and Regiments of Renown rules. Have'nt found these on Gw's site. Besides, I cant find most of the models for sale either. Are they discontinuing sale or something?

To put it simple, yes it seems GW wants this army to die. The rules and mentioning of them have dissappeared from the new site. The models are only available trough non-GW means, and they are excluded from being a legal army in the GT tournaments in the UK.
So I guess they are dead or at best dying.

Yeah, that's seems to be whats happening unfortunately. Ah well, life goes on.

go to either the canadian/uk site, it should look like the old site and it should be easy to find, and yes this army is on the verge of death if not already gone, just like kislev and the albion quintuplets.
ebay is a good site for old DOW models

GW: go to collectors and there to miscellaneous: there they are.

As for the army: the last 'book' I know of was in Cronicles 2004; an entire DoW army and the Regiments of Reknown.

Yeah some of the models are still available! :D
Yet still can't find the rules, it seems the old sites are gone.
*EDIT*
Many of the regiments kf Reknown can be found under their own race collectors tabs, so Rugluds Armoured Orcs can be found under Orcs and Goblins, and Long Drongs Slayer pirates under Dwarves.

When they errata our books (i have WE and TK) they shoulda put in another entry for us. Something we could at least model ourself even if they didnt put the model out. WE get bears, and TK get i donno... bone dragon?

what doe that have anything to do with the DoW? i mean i get it if it has something do to with making themed based RoR or something. but otherwise i don't see a point as they are killing off the DoW

Well, I've found the rules, but even even considering getting some models is pretty uninspiring since they are getting more and more obsolete. Too bad, since the concept and most of the RoR units are, in my opinion, the most characterful and some of the coolest in Warhammer (yes, heresy against the Tomb Kings nahah blahah). I mean, the prospect of killing chaos knights with a halfling hot pot alone makes me want to start an army! B)

We just had a major site crash that wiped out 6 months of work but are rebuilding:

DoW aren't really tournament legal - pity really models are awesome, at least some of them.
