Title: Unused Robot Masters.

Hello. I was wondering if anybody could post any unused Robot Masters they may have seen over the years.

In the Mega Man 3 Mysteries section of the site, Gauntlet shows three unused Robot Masters from Keiji Inafune's MM3 sketchbook. Does anyone have the original interview video or a link to it? Does Inafune show any others from different games?

This winged fellow appeared in Anniversary Collection.

Based on his design, I'd say he was designed for MM2.

why would you say that?
by the way, he's just a winged elecman with a birdmask.

Actually,I think he's a Storm Eagle prototype. the design is kept, but the face, buster and feet were changed.

It could be Storm Eagle, ther's alot of "pre-X" designs .... or what looks like pre-X designs in there.

Oh yes, I definitely see the resemblance with Storm Eagle. I had estimated MM2 based on the complexity of the design, as the enemies tended to have more complicated designs further in the series and this was pretty simple. I hadn't considered the possibility that he was a maverick prototype design.

If you look at them, though .... the MM2 designs weren't drawn too well. Just look at MM using the Master Weapons,

I'd say this is around MM5, just like the other sketches.

So maybe they decided to put Gyroman in instead of this guy?

would all the robot masters drawn by fans and submited to CAPCOM to be used by them not count as unused robot masters? because most of them were made by fans afterall, untill Keiji Inafune draws them himself to make them better fit in the games.

I wouldn't count them. They're a dime a dozen. Unproduced works by the father of Megaman aren't quite as plentiful (although I'll bet that there's alot of them).
