Title: Fears?
Description: Yes, we all have them!

STARZ - March 19, 2008 10:23 PM (GMT)
I got bored one day...soooo...for me it's
Clowns
Heights(REALLY REALLY BAD!)
Black notebooks with white letters on them
The shiny heads of completely bald people..... @_@
Standing in a roller coaster and knocking off my head.

Raijin - March 19, 2008 11:01 PM (GMT)
I remember the last thread like this we had. Too many people said "snakes".

Marl Duothimir - March 19, 2008 11:02 PM (GMT)
Not being able to do something about anything.

Corvid - March 19, 2008 11:37 PM (GMT)
Fears for me are heights and traveling too fast, that means i shall never go on a roller coaster :P.

As for snakes, i've never actually seen one unless its been in a zoo and its hard to be afraid when there is two centimeters of glass between you and it.

Akutare - March 19, 2008 11:40 PM (GMT)
Water and the lack of sleep problem I have.

I don't fear snakes at all.

CrystalGirl - March 19, 2008 11:58 PM (GMT)
I want a pet snake. They're snazzy.

God, I have too many fears... uhm...

Heights, in extremes. Or when it's really open, like on some bridges I've been on. Never a fun thing. Needles are another big one.... they freak me out oh so very much. Recently got over my fear of puppets, but clowns still bug me. Spiders are a big one too. Hrm... new places is a big one too, though not so much these days... that's all I can think of at the moment. =p

Yeah, I'm a coward. I admit it.

Mega Man N - March 20, 2008 12:58 AM (GMT)
Interesting how so many of the more common phobias would relate to the Mechs in some way… needles, snakes, spiders (referring to Classi, of course)…

My big one is heights; I can't stand roller coasters, and I'm not one for extreme sports. I don't fear arthropods so much as dislike them, but I have a bit of a phobia of sharp objects (although it's interesting, considering that at one point when I was younger, I wanted to get a tattoo on my shoulder when I turned about eighteen or so).

Shift - March 20, 2008 02:46 AM (GMT)
Spiders, insects, murky water, sharks, murky water with sharks in it, and for some reason i get paranoid around swigging objects.

Makenshi - March 20, 2008 04:03 AM (GMT)
I don't mind normal-sized bugs but the bigger ones scare the crap out of me, but only if they're really fast or can fly. And it just so happens that stink bugs have started to make their home in my town for the past few years. *shudder*

I'm very uneasy around objects that could fly into my eye at any moment, especially balloons (when they pop) and rubber bands.

I'm only scared of heights if it's really high up, if I'm at the edge, and if the barrier that's keeping me from falling is either nonexistent or thin. I absolutely LOVE rollercoasters though.

I can't stand staring at mirrors or darkness for too long out of fear of seeing things.

Hardman - March 20, 2008 06:09 AM (GMT)
I'm scare myself, more often than not.

Yes. I'm VERY frightened of four tons of massive, angry, drunk tank falling on my head with NO warning. Thought terrifies me everyday. Also, small spinning children's toys, random, unnanounced ninja attacks, and magnets. I also have an unnatrual fear of twins.

Sorry.

Raijin - March 20, 2008 06:29 AM (GMT)
Oh come on. How do you develop a crippling fear of twins?

Oh, wait...

Hardman - March 20, 2008 06:34 AM (GMT)
That and this both contributed pretty heavily, I admit.

I'm surprised you didn't question my other 'fears'...

Apparently it's more likely someone will choke and die while eating shark than it is they will be eaten by a shark. Its funny, shark attacks are so insanely unlikely but every time one happens the media tends to snap it up and it starts to look like they happen all the time.

Elecman - March 20, 2008 01:18 PM (GMT)
Offline fears, huh?
Heights, bridges, water under bridges, falling from someplace high.
Oh, and getting a "C" in a class. I'd be dead if that happened.

So.. yeah.. Elec has interesting fears.

Wait.. snakes? Teeheh! I see them all the time. They aren't that scary. Unless you're in the water with one... Then.. hn.. yeah.

Cobra_Omega - March 20, 2008 06:07 PM (GMT)
*sighs* I knew this topic'd pop up eventually..My fears are:

Not being able to help, spiders, insects, really high heights, roller coasters, losing the ones I love, losing contact with the girl I like, and lack of sleep.

I know shark attacks are quite rare but i just find them creepy for some reason.

Mahajarah - March 21, 2008 05:31 PM (GMT)
Spiders.
Even a super powered paintball gun will not save you from a bannana spider giving you the chills.
Dear god, I hate those things. >_>;

STARZ - March 21, 2008 10:45 PM (GMT)
My fear of heights is really bad. I was going up the Capitol Building in my state and when we got up towards the top of the dome I started freaking out and then I almost lost my mind when we went to the very top and could see the ground.

Clowns..they just freak the crap outta me. You don't know what's behind that heavy makeup..and the nose..it comes off! And that's why I didn't like Megaman.EXE 6 that much..Yuika/Cherol and Circusman gave me the creeps. And Clown Man too. It's like a family thing..my dad doesn't like them either.

ANd I'm also afraid of maniacs in Speedos.

And people who are completely bald..dunno why..It's just the shiny head is a little..strange.

I have SOME Peladophobia, Acrophobia, and Coulrophobia.
Arachnophobia? I never really had that much of a problem with that.

Chaos Wolf - March 22, 2008 12:35 AM (GMT)
Truthfully, I am disturbed by violence in old games. Resident Evil 4 and Dead Rising hardly effect me, yet things like Mortal Kombat for the Playstation and CarnEvil freak me out.

I think that it may be because I view those consoles as innocent games, whereas the newer consoles get more realistic, so an arm falling off seems more likely if the sword cut through the bone. Seeing innocence in a corrupted situation does not frighten me, but it feels like a nightmare regardless.

STARZ - March 22, 2008 12:47 AM (GMT)
So you aren't afraid of maniacs in Speedos?

Corvid - March 22, 2008 04:44 AM (GMT)
EVERYONE is afraid of people in Budgie Smugglers(aussie slang for speedos, figure out where it comes from!).

STARZ - March 22, 2008 12:34 PM (GMT)
Because most maniacs don't really look that good. MANIAC IN A SPEEDO"D!

CenetaurmanE52 - March 22, 2008 08:52 PM (GMT)
Speedos in general...
I hate heights...my mind isn't afraid at all, but my body just flat-out freezes.
Clowns...I swear to god, clowns are possesed by the freakin' devil.
I dunno why, but I'm also afraid of REAL robots...I think I-robot really got to me.

Glider - March 22, 2008 10:44 PM (GMT)
Airplanes. I( always have a fear that something will go wrong and the plane will explode in a terrible crash.

BEES!!!!!!

Liquid-Snake - March 23, 2008 03:44 AM (GMT)
I basically freak out around bees, spiders, wasps, or pretty much any kind of bug that's poisonous or can bite enough to make me feel pain. Except around yellow jackets. They never seem to bite me. So I just smack the living hell out of them, and it makes me feel like I'm getting my revenge on bees and wasps everywhere. Same with horseflies, mainly because I hate flies.

Yep, that's it. Nerves of steel.

Oh, and groups of 6 giant college jock assholes who my friends tell that I told them to shut the fuck up. Yep. That and bugs...

So more like nerves of hard rubber. Or leather... maybe studded leather, but that would probably be stretching it.

Akutare - March 23, 2008 04:05 AM (GMT)
I wouldn't call this a fear, but I do have mild paranoia in dark and extreamly silent areas, mainly at night.

STARZ - March 23, 2008 05:30 PM (GMT)
I'm not scared of robots. Cause the laws of robotics. I learn things from video games.

I have a mild case of Bacteriophobia(I think I spelled it wrong) because with all those terminal illnesses...

Scary stories never make me freak out, I love a good scary story. Especially a fantasy horror story...((one of my friends says I have a vampire fetish..okay, maybe..maybe I do..but..))

I feel at home in the dark. I swear, I'm like an American ninja or like, a mutant of some kind. I swear I have cat eyeballs or bat echolocation..

But enough about my mutated genes.

..Bees. Lots of bees. Swarms of bees, right behind you. Bees. Lots of bees. Swarms of bees, look behind you. No, don't look now. They might see you looking. Run, Run away. Get in the car..roll up the windows..now drive. Drive away. Turn on the engine. Get away from..the Bees.

I'm a little scared of flies that bite. So I squirt them with th hose and they land in the pool and I watch them drown..and then I feel sorry for them and get the net, then toss them out onto the concrete..

Lord Derg - March 25, 2008 01:48 AM (GMT)
Nice thread. Anyways, I have a common fear of heights (like top of the stairs heights)
Im afraid of spiders.

AND BEES! AAAAAAAAAGH!
Dylan+Bees= Sad clown ._.

ClassiCal - March 25, 2008 02:35 AM (GMT)
Not really afraid of anything (lest it come down to mine or a loved one's life you know?)

But I do have a germ phobia. Well... only for my hands. Dunno what that's called but I wash my hands frequently. If I touch something even remotely dirty... I wash.

That's called marketing, and it seems to be working. ;)

Corvid - March 25, 2008 03:18 AM (GMT)
I used to wash my hands after touching anything dirty but luckily i got over that.... unfortunately now its my feet rather than hands i wash..

STARZ - March 25, 2008 08:57 PM (GMT)
Me too. Everytime I even waltz into the bathroom, after I have to wash my hands.

It's confirmed that it isn't OCD.
