http://blog.wired.com/cars/2008/05/swiss-man-strap.htmlI heard about this four days ago, but only now did I find a video of the event. Supposedly, it was featured on a tiny column in the front page of NJ newspapers, which kept the story vague. Apparently, people haven't learned from their mistakes after ignoring the Wright Bros. flight on Kill Devil Hill.
This man is a Swiss aviator that invented a winged jetpack. He demonstrated his invention in front of the national press on May 14th, flying for six straight minutes over the Alps. He performed a crap load tricks and even landed without any harm to his body. This stuff is huge, man. One day, we may go for recreational flights on this thing.
