hi, as people are being urged to post, i thought i would. Although very pleased for both mandana and simone that they are pregnant- it does have one setback(for us fans anyway)- that we are unlikely to see either of them for some while on screen/on stage. The boards are already pretty quiet these days and without appearances by mandana/simone in the forseeable future there will be much less to discuss than normal. Mandana,we are told, has gone to spain for a couple of years, so we are looking at a fairly long time without mandana on our screens. Likewise simone, although we know she has a small part in red mercury which should be out towards the end of the year, that appears to be it and even if simone were to do something early next year, it probably would not be until the end of next year that we would see it. Simone could take a lenghty spell off , we just dont know. Sorry for sounding negative, i am happy for them, its just sad to know we wont see much of them for a while.

While it might change, at the moment Mandana is planning to return to some work after the birth of her child.

Yes, it might change and it certainly isn't going to be for a while after the birth - but at the moment there is no reason for us to believe otherwise. She has remained with her agents and told them her intention is to return to work at some point.

Equally, Simone hasn't said what her plans are - but mentions in interviews how other mothers are also acting in some good roles and how feasible it is - showing that she isn't adversely worried about returning to work after the birth.

Either way - I am just extremely grateful we have been given the opportunity to watch 2 great actresses at work in the various projects they have already done - and babies or not - acting is a fickle profession that could mean they might not have got the roles anyway?
