I just finished watching the first season of bad girls for the first time and I can't get over:

1. How stunning this woman is!
2. How great the acting is (from all of the cast)
3. How amazing it is that 2 of the main women on this popular show are actually falling for each other in a big and serious way.
4. How well written all the scripts are!

Shows like this are *very* hard to come by.. I've actually had to purchase a region-free dvd player and then ORDER the rest of the seasons through amazon.co.uk because it's not available in Canada/US. I know it'll be worth the extra money when I start watching the shows (plus I can then get DVDs cheap off of Ebay and be able to play them, yay region-free!)

Ms. Jones seems like a very down to earth person -- love that she had her baby at home, no drugs, and that she admitted being a mum is not all peaches and cream -- although I could certainly entertain some racy fantasies about her, I wouldn't mind sitting down for a chat and a cup of tea either!

i agree whole heartedly. i wish i had known about this show sooner, i feel like us Americans sort of missed the boat here. but it's ok, there's always time to catch up.

i wish there were more shows to see her in, she's just brilliant. i would love to see her in some movies.

I have come to the show late but have loved this show from the beginning. Mandana is a stunning , gifted actress who is sorely overlooked these days as far as roles. It appears that Simone Lahbib is doing more. Is this due to Mandana's having a child and taking time off or has she suffered through the typecasting that sometimes befalls actresses who take lesbian roles? I often thought that Patricia Charbonneau from Desert Hearts had that happen to her when I never saw her in much after she did the part.
Mandana would be great in films, adverts, series, whatever. She seems like a thoughtful, compassionate soul.

I've been a huge fan of Mandana since afterellen started featuring BG.
And just like any huge fan, I've been adding up to the web traffic trying to satisfy my craving for any information about MJ the actress and nikki wade the character.

Sometimes, it gets frustrating that for all the brilliance that is MJ, I feel that the world is still missing out on a lot of what her talent can offer on screen. Sigh

I don't know if I'm the only one who feels this, but it does get difficult to separate MJ from Nikki Wade the character. I guess it's because for people like me who live far away from UK have very limited opportunity to see her in other roles.

It's been such a treat that afterellen did an interview of her. Before the interview, I'd say no one's hotter that Nikki Wade.But after the interview I'd defibitely say MJ is way hotter that Nikki Wade. lol

Yes, she is hot. It frustrates me to not see her on any other movie or tv series. I am from the USA and we don't receive any of the British soaps, etc. After reading the August 27, 2007 inteview on afterellen.com I think she may be having a rough time finding roles. I can't not understand why since she is one of the best actors I have seen (and there are many in the USA). I wish she would seek out some roles in the USA. I think there are more movies produced here. She would be good in just about anything. I also feel as if she may regret her decision to leave Bad Girls after series 3.

I watched Bad Girls on youtube.com and continue to watch the first 3 series repeatedlly. I think the producers are missing out on MJ acting. I wonder what we could do to get them interested?

Love to watch her; not for just her beauty. I think her performace is believable and sincere. She says her personality is not like "Niki" and we would be disappointed if we knew her. I don't think so---she can be quiet but she is sensitive, smart and can laugh easily. So MJ, if you read this get your agent calling the USA and get one of the many movies that are being shown here. We need to see your face again.
