Hey everybody! I just started spring break a while ago and have a few more days free than usual. Because of this, I was thinking of doing something fun with a few of my net-buddies so what better place to ask? ^^

I'm going to be working on a short Flash animation (it'll either be a one-shot or a short series). As of right now, I'm in need of a lot of help~~~ What positions do I need, you ask? Good question! Here's a list of positions available:
-Scriptor Position Filled
-Voice Actors (I basically suck at this part so I leave it to you >.<)
-Character Designer/Concept Artist
-Storyboard Animator/Keyframe Animator
-Sound Effects Supervisor/The Main SFX Person-Dude(ette)
-Background Animator (Someone skilled with Photoshop would be nice)

I'll be doing most of the animation in Flash MX 2004. Your are not limited to only one position, but don't overdo it. ^^ Your work will be credited in the closing scene.

I currently have a few ideas I'm playing with, but there isn't really a story yet. If you're interested in any of these positions, send me an IM. Hope to talk to all of you soon. ^^

P.S. Two lead female roles have already been assigned to Chibi Kagamoe and Darth Marth.

**Edit:I forgot to mention that this part of the animation (Episode 1) MUST be completed by Friday or Saturday. We can accomplish this by making the first episode like an intro to the story and work on it over the summer. If there is a lot of interest in the project from most of the original members(those of us working on this episode), I'll continue it in the summer. If not, I'll probably drop it.

I'll help you out again, Shini! As I told you already on IM, I'm interested in Scriptor and Voice Actor. Keep that in mind, 'kay?

A bit more news. To have an idea of what we might do, I'll need to know the skills of each member involved. That is, I'll need a sample for the positions you want.

-Background Artist - Send me a few samples of backgrounds you have created.

BTW, I need everyone who wants to get involved to post here ASAP. I'll be making a list soon and don't want to leave you out. We're currently in need of a background artist and a sfx specialist. Some of the other positions are still available, so be sure to check it out.

As for the type of story we're doing, Natty, Mitsa, and I are going to be brainstorming over what we can do. We'll then choose the top 5 and post them somewhere. From there, it's up to you guys to vote for the story you like best.

I know, I know, I shouldnt' double or triple post. It's just that I came up with a really great idea for a story. =)

NetBushi

In a world where reality is powered by imagination, technology has advanced to new heights. With this came a downfall, however. A new type of villain combining both the skills of a master-theif and a hacker. To battle these new villains, a special squadron of police has been set up to deal with these menaces to the new society.

But is this really enough? Can the police really make a difference in the current world? A few people don't believe so. In fact, they have teamed up with each other and have created a private force of their own. With the rise in cyber-crimes, they make their own rules to counteract the villains.

Will they see their purpose out until the very end or will it all just blow up in their face?

Comments: I've been messing with this idea for a while now. My main source of inspiration comes from a few drawings in my sketch=pad where some of the swords turned out looking like USB jump-drives. From there, I added a futuristic look and this story kinda popped into my head. I guess I'm going crazy or something. >.<

To get this thing going, I guess we'll choose a story by tomorrow (Saturday night). If you have any ideas, please submit them ASAP, even if they're incomplete. JUst remember, it doesn't have to be complete or even a whole story. Just something to tickle our imaginations. Hope to read your submissions soon.

Here is an idea for the story. A secret organization builds this guy android, but when he was about to be completed the base is attacked. So this Android has no idea who he is, where he is, and why he's even here. He is on a journy to figure out his identity and his past. He meets other androids and people along the way. They all journy with him. They find the people that attacked the guys base and begun a war. Winning, they get freedom, and the guy gets his memory back. I know it's stupid, but it's what I could think of. I could do better. :(

It was the time of the samurai; when nobles controlled the lives of the serfs that worked their land. At this time, love across social standings was highly discouraged. However, young people love to disobey the will of the adults.

The beautiful daughter of fuedal lord, Hana, is arranged to be married with a noble from the Imperial Captial. However, the one she desires is a lowly samurai by the name of Lan. Will they be able to defy the adults in an attempt to escape to their own reality? Will Lan pick up his sword and defend her honor? All will be told in due time...

I also allow everyone to design their own character. Of course, they'll be modified to a style I feel comfortable working with, but they'll generally be the same as yours. I'm not too sure yet, so give me some feedback.

But the main story writers are Natti and Mitsa. I can't really move on without their input and stories.

Alrighty! For Shiki-chan's birthday,I have decided to work on a mini-project to test how well we can work together. The theme will be high-school romance/comedy. We'll probably do 3 short stories that have no relation to each other, except the theme.

The setting is Renai Gakuen (I know, lame name) and will revolve around alternating characters. This means that the main character of one story may make a cameo appearance later on.

2nd year student Akito has a bad reputation for being a ruthless delinquent during his middle-school years. What others don't know is that deep inside is a genius with a gentle heart. He's here at Renai Gakuen, not only for his excelling grades, but because of his childhood love.

Ana Fujiwara, the idol of the entire school. Beauty, brains, and a beatuful voice Anna represents Akito's ideal of a perfect female. The only problem is his reputation. What will everyone else think of her if they saw the two of them together? Would she even accept him as he is? Akito constantly drifts off in his dreams, thinking of ways to confess to Anna but always fails at the thought of having her run away.

The chance has finally presented itself. After school, he hears a feint scream from behind the second school building. It was Anna. Not thinking about anything but protecting Ana, he fought endlessly through the small gang until he could clench his fist no longer. Falling to his knees, he begins to open up his feelings to the one he loves.

Not knowing how she would respond,he slowly gets stands up and laughs at himself. "I'm truly an idiot, aren't I?" he said intending for it to be inaudible.

"You are!" a voice shouts out from behind him. She was crying as she shouted it out. Quickly turning around, Akito saw tears flowing down Ana's cheek."You are an idiot! All these years I've waited for you to apporach me but you never did!" She fell to her knees with her hands on the ground. All the strength had left her in an instant.

I got some sketches for characters. And a couple names for some characters (for boys and girls)

Edit: I've worked on a few of the characters for the first story and I'm ready to begin animation. I'm going to work a bit on fixing these characters up, but I'll see if I can get a script ready.
