I have spoken to some folks lately that said they filled out volunteer applications and no one ever called them. If you are one of those people, please call the shelter at 394-5682 and give us a second chance. We had some problems last year because we didn't have a volunteer coordinator but that problem is solved.
Volunteers must be over 18 unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.

We have adoption events scheduled for Mena, Waldron and Texarkana. These are usually fun times and you get to meet a lot of people. Our spay/neuter clinics are scheduled every other month and help is always needed for dog walking, dog & cat recovery, etc. There are other opportunities available especially for those of you that feel you can't work with the animals but are willing to work for them. :D
