Title: Need repair on Macintosh computer

Does anyone do repair work on Macintosh computers?

I do warranty repair work for Dell, HP, Compaq, Gateway, Toshiba, and Emachine, and non-warranty repair and service in my own company's capacity, on all machines. If the computer is still under warranty, I would suggest calling Mac and they will send a tech out to your house. If they want to make you wait two weeks for a tech from Ft. Smith to come down, tell them about me and I'm sure they'll send me out, as I'm right in Mena. In the mean time, can you give me the Mac model number and the nature of the problem so I can do some research? Thank you!

Just curious, how old is it? I have seen many Macs in Mena since the tornado hit, and all of them are several years old. Like any computer there is a time when they are out dated due to updates in Operating Systmes, and the Software people like to download, and it usually spells troubles.

In other words, people download very new specific programs to make life better, but the machine uses an older version of an Operating System and the computer now has a problem communicating with itself.

I am a bit biased but I can not wait till Microsoft goes out of business! Apple/Mac has always seemed a bit high priced, but he had to be since Bill Gates owned the rights to DOS; but now Apple is offering an alternative to disc drives, and the rest of the world is way ahead of us in moving to electronic drives and far less problems with program glitches due to DOS, and drive startups.

But, don't fret for 'poor' Bill Gates he is already making great head way into other more lucrative endeavors, such as American cars that talk to you, and people will pay the ultimate price for their toys, in repairs, just as they do now in PC's!

I do know a guy in Little Rock who is a certified Mac specialist. I will try to find his number. Brian Beaver is also a good Apple person but he does not do repairs for people, since he already has a full time position doing just that for the state and the Educational Co-Op.

I do hope you the bes tof luck, and tell MCS and myself how old this machine is, since it does make a difference in repairs.

I would be very interested in that Little Rock number (and name, if possible).
I know Brian Beaver. Wonder if he could salvage the info on my old hard drive.

PM me, nuttyprofessor, to discuss this at length, if you will. :thumb:
