Title: No motorcycles?
Scotto - June 5, 2007 08:51 PM (GMT)
Hard to believe nobody has got one for sale. :D

winter is almost here, they will start to get rid of them. :D

One of my retirement hobbies is restoring vintage, 1980's era, Yamahas.
I am always looking for 'barn' bikes of any make, any condition.
Will haul off for free or pay, but not much! Did I mention 'retired,'
as in fixed (nice word for shrinking) income?
:vio:

I'm always looking for old Harleys or old Triomphs.
I'm also on a deflating fixed income but could pay very little $.
Does anyone know of or have an empty shop I could use to work in as I would pay the utilities. :hmmm:

I can not beleive no one has any old motorcycles anr parts that they don't want. Does anyone know someone that has old motorcycles or parts in their barn or old shed. I will look at them.
I still need a shop to use.

Me either. I thought there would be quite a few in this forum by now.

This is my bike inventory:
1982 XJ750RJ Seca with Velorex Sidecar, runs well
1982 XJ650RJ Seca, needs wiring harness, have harness
1982 XJ1100J Maxim, needs work
1981 XJ650 Midnight Maxim, engine will turn over
These are all vintage bikes of course, but they are highly
collectible and if stock and running well they bring $1000
plus. Except for the 82 750 Seca I will accept any offer
of at least what have in them.
I am getting a bit too old for heavy bikes so I am in the
market for a Honda Rebel or similar of any make, but
no Chinese.

XJ - those are some nice rides for someone into Jap bikes.
I have a 70 650 tiger that I will rebuild come warmer weather. It has hard tail frame, ape hangers, 2 1/2 gal. mustang tank. Very nice bar hopper but not a road bike. 55 mph is the top.
Also have 2 trikes to rebuild - 1 has Fiat motor
1 has VW motor.
But I still like the old Harleys and Triumphs. I'm to screwed up for the heavy bikes also.
Check with Slingshot, he's into Jap stuff.

Correction! Never had a Jap bike in my 50+ years of riding. You might be thinking of someone else. :nono:

This is getting to be as unused as the mosh pit.
Wish I had something related to 2 wheels for sale.
Maybe I could sell my "wish I had that bike".

Don't count on selling it from here. Not one call on my ad. Apparently there aren't many bikers reading the forum.

I,ve got one posted on here. Butch has over $24,000 invested in this bike and he has all the paperwork. I don't know if he will go down on the price or not. Give him a call and make an offer. :dunno:
