Thursday is National ASPCA Day. If you love animals, or have pets, please wear orange on that day to support them. Also, if possible, go to Aspca.org and make an online donation through your credit card which is tax deductible. I personally make an automatic monthly stippend of $25. I wish I could do more. They will send you a free T-shirt. Anyone who watches the Animal Planet channel knows the horrors of all the cruelty to animals that happens out there. Please make a contribution to the national organization or to the local Humane Society. The animals need us. We are their voice.

Volunteering at the shelter, I see so many animals and I'm proud to say ours are healthy and well fed but they need homes of their own. A shelter dog is grateful for anything you do for them. Yes, some need to be house trained and taught not to chew but what you get in return is well worth the time and effort you put into it.

As a NO KILL shelter our dogs will have a home as long as necessary but we would love to place them in homes of their own.
