....all you folks out in the County surely know what i'm talking about. :crying:
Happens every spring.
Having to spay/neuter and feed other people's cast-offs. Dogs, cats.
SIMPLY AMAZING TO ME how people say, when I ask them why they didn't get their animals spayed/neutered: "I can't afford it."
Then, I see them in the pizza restaurant, or the video store on weekends, spending way more than it would cost at low-cost spay/neuter clinic.
Selfish, selfish, selfish. At least I get a heads up on the *character* of the person this way. :thumb: I avoid them like the plague.......
Just ran into a person who's cat (who they profess to *love) came home and is so weak and sick can't lift it's head. I ask: "what shots has it had? What about worming?"
"Oh, we can't afford that. "
The feed store sells vaccines and wormers and you can get out under $10. It means you may have to eat beans and rice one or two meals. Big deal.
PLEASE, can anyone tell me what is WRONG with these people?
If we knew the answer to that question, then we could solve the problem.

Some people are extremely lazy while others refuse to understand that pet ownership is a responsibility, not a passing whim. We could cover pets under Medicaid and food stamps (not at all advocating this!), and a lot of people would be too lazy to fill out the paperwork and turn it in on time.
