Today a member asked: "About pics, I can't find anywhere to post them."
1. Hot-linked or embeded images (allows up to 4-6 images in a post) is the way to do it, sometimes called "hyper-linked."
There are image hosting websites that offer space to save photos. Some allow you the ability to display images directly within a post on a forum like this. A good one is Photobucket.com. There are many others to choose from.
Select the image hosting service you like and upload your photos. Now, using the codes the service provides, you can then embed it within your post by following these steps:
a. If you want the image to be the first thing in the post start with step b. Otherwise, start typing the text for your post.
b. When you get to the place where you want to insert an image, open a separate window to your image hosting website and go to the image you wish to insert.
c. Determine which code is the one for placing the image in a forum post. (The image hosting website should explain this - they're all different. For Photobucket it is the code in the "direct link" box.)
d. Copy the code. (Look at the "BBC Code" help under the smilies you click on when you post to see the code)
e. Go back to the post you are preparing on the Mena forum.
f. Paste in the code.
g. Continue typing your text or, if there is a second image, just repeat the process.
h. Repeat the process each time you want to embed an image. Please note that the Forum Board will limit the number of such images per post depending on the image sizes (about four 640 x 480 images ).
If this procedure does not work or you do not like the appearance of your post, use the edit function to go back in and try again. You can space images sideways to the right by inserting dashes or some other character. The space bar will not do it. You can space images down with the "enter key."
