Title: Need A Butcher

that can cut and wrap a quartered up buffalo. The two local wild game places are over loaded due to deer seasons. I can bring my gal pal to wrap and grind my own hamburger. Need this done 11/10 or 11/11/08.

You might want to check with the butcher at Chopping Block or with the butcher at James'. :dunno:

Thanks, but did that at James already. Apparently, it's against the law to cut up uninspected meat on equipment used for inspected meat.
Am kinda hoping to get lucky and find a farmer or rancher that does there own critters and has the equipment and time to fool w/ mine.

There's T-N-L Meat Processing out on CR71 in Yocana, I think it is. We've taken a thing or two to them, they do good work. There's also somebody down in Vandervoort that does meat processing. They're doing a deer for a friend of mine right now, though I don't know the name of the place. Anybody know?

I'm curious.... Is there somewhere around Mena that you can buy buffalo meat? If so, tell me where, I'd love to have some if it's reasonably priced.

Update on the buff/butcher problem. Had made arrangements at T-N-L, but for the month of Oct not Nov. Had called Vern's before I left and they didn't think they would have room or time w/ deer season coming in.
Found a place near Russelville that would do it anytime. Stopped by Vern's on way back w/ quartered buff and they graciously did it. I've already picked the frozen meat up and am very pleased w/ them.
I've heard there is someone raising them locally, but that's all I know. I've seen the meat in Wal-mart, it's good but pricey.
Thanks to all.
