Title: Part Time Field Crew Technician

Organization Background: Audubon Arkansas is engaged in the restoration and protection of watersheds and other habitats important to birds and other wildlife. Our projects have involved reforestation, streambank stabilization, trash removal, stream assessment, habitat improvement, and wetland restoration. The organization works to provide environmental education to people of all ages.

Purpose of the position: The Field Crew Technician will work on various types of habitat improvement in Natural Areas across the state.

Essential Functions: Help with environmental improvements in ecologically sensitive areas

Qualifications: We seek a knowledgeable, motivated, hardworking person dedicated to the environment. Experience in removing invasive species, using a weedeater, operating a chainsaw, and using a backpack herbicide applicator is beneficial. Must be willing to work in the field in all types of weather conditions. Interest in and experience with habitat management is preferred. A degree in biology, wildlife management, environmental science, or related field is a bonus.

Application Information: This is a part time position with hours fluctuating, and maximizing to no more than 20 hours/week. Overnight travel may be required one or two nights a week.
