Description: Can not catch them, what can I do?

I found 2 bird dogs (I think that is what they are),white with big brown spots. I found them on Race Track Road, just outside of Timber Ridge East. I am feeding them in the tree area because I can not catch them. They both have colars with metal name tags on them, but since I can not get close, I can not see what they say. One of them is a boy and the other I can not see. Where do I go for help. They have been starving and they are eating everthing I bring them and ALL of the water. It is going to rain again and I just can't stand them being outside like this. Where do I go for help??? Or I hope the ownes see this. Maybe they were lost in the Tornado.

I can tell you how to make a trap for them if you can't get someone to help. Try the humane society, they may have a trap.
Traps work by luring the dog into a crate and then the door shuts closing them in.
If you know anyone who has dog crates, you can put them out by where you have
been feeding them. They may go inside and at least stay dry. If you begin to feed them in the crates they may stay long enough for you to shut the door.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of hunting dogs running free in the area. But, it may be that someone does want these back.
You can get the crates at Walmart. Or perhaps someone on the list has one. I like the plastic airline crates the best for this because they can act as a house.

Thank you for the information. I have called the Human office and left a message. I also called the Radio Station to see when swap shop is, so I can call in today. They told me to call the Dog Catcher 394-8339. I did and left another message. I am working today or I would be out there all day trying to get them. I just know they belong to someone. Thank you again for helping.

The Humane Society will look for them after 2:00 today and see if she can see their tags. They said they did not have two dogs lost together. I have not heard from the dog catcher yet. I wish I did have airline crates to leave out there so that they would have some protections, but I can not afford to buy them either. Thanks again for your help.

I went on Swap Shop today about the dogs and got a call. The man said his dogs have been missing since Monday. I said they are so thin it looks like a lot longer. He said they run with cattle. He would drive by the area, but since I feed them, they might not come to him. Is this what you do with cattle dogs is to starve them?

I tried to PM you but it wouldn't go through. Call HSO tomorrow between 10 and 2 and talk to our caretaker. I just got off the phone with her and she talked to Mena Animal Control and they went to your house today.
If you still have the dogs, we may be able to help with some kind of shelter, etc.
