Title: Tornado Sirens Tests
Description: idea

There is an understandable reluctance to resume the Wednesday noon tests. I have a suggestion: Most towns DO NOT test on the scheduled days/times if severe weather is in the forecast. So, if you do hear sirens on that day/time, you will know it is NOT a test; it is to be taken seriously. Just a suggestion...

Personally, I think the tests on Wednesdays at noon would be reassuring to residents that the sirens are still functionaland working for us. I know they will give me comfort when I hear them on Wednesdays at noon from now on! I was pretty happy when NOAA weather radio came back on for Polk County, too.

I agree too. I am so scared about bad weather. It is a relief to know that the sirens still work. It makes me feel better knowing that it is there and hearing them being tested .

I just wish we could have it to where if the sirens go off on Wednesday at noon, and there is bad weather expected that day, to take them seriously. I really am trying to be helpful; I went through the tornado, too. I have nightmares over that sound I heard...
