Here we go again...This time, it is my 12 1/2 year old spayed female border collie/husky that has gotten out. Apparently I failed to latch the gate when I mowed the lawn yesterday, and she ran off in Mena last night. She is probably about 50 pounds, mostly white with Black markings on her sides and on her back just above the tail. She also has some brown markings on her face. She has noticable "cloudiness" on her eyes from cataracts. She is wearing a red collar, and is generally friendly, though she has been getting cranky in her old age. Normally when she runs off, she's at the front door by morning, but not this time. I will call Animal control and the humane society in the morning, but had such good luck on the forum when my sister's little dog ran off, I am hoping someone here has seen her. Her name is "Jackie" and is missing from the Bethesda Road/Karen Drive area, but being a husky, she runs for distance. She has all her shots, but will be do for boosters next month, so we would like to find her ASAP.
I don't know where your streets are but yesterday there were two brown dogs running together in the vicinity of 7th and Oak streets. Both had collars. A few minutes later I saw the animal control truck cruising the area. You might want to check with them again this morning. I hope you find your dog in good condition.
I heard that you found your missing dog. Glad to hear it. :thumb:
Tammy Stockton from Animal control found me from my name and phone number and actually delivered her back home on Thursday night. "Jackie" found a nice friend all the way over on Reine and Hicory from Bethesda Road and Karen Drive. I think her mind is going and she got lost. In any case, Tammy went way out of her way to get her back to us, and everyone that helped us has our Thanks!
