OLT TO PRESENT ONE-WEEK KIDS ACTING CAMP JUNE 22-26

WHAT: OLT Kids Camp, acting workshop, directed by Judy Kropp, OLT President, giving children who are interested in the theater and acting a chance to be exposed to all aspects of theater, including acting, set building and painting, script writing, theater games and more

WHEN: June 22-26, 2009 from 9 AM to Noon

PARTICIPANTS: Children who have completed 1st through 6th grade

REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Cost: $100.00 - $75 for OLT & JOLT members

BACKGROUND: The 2009 Arkansas state community theater champions, the Ouachita Little Theatre (OLT), will present a week-long Kids Camp, - theater and acting workshop for kids from 1st through 6th grades this summer at Grace Bible Church , while the OLT facility undergoes repairs as a result of the April 9th tornado.

School children will have the opportunity to learn a set of skills that include acting, stage-set building and painting, script writing, and will get to play theater games in each of the five-day, 3-hour sessions under the direction of Judy Kropp, OLT’s president and musical director, with a faculty that includes Jessica Kropp, Mena High School drama teacher, Tim Hesse, award winning actor and set designer, outstanding OLT play directors, Brad Storey and Larry Block and other active OLT members.
