Gospel Music Competition Set To Go

Mena AR:

Big Bears Saturday Night Opry has announced the “New” Date for the Gospel Music Invitational Sing-Off as

Saturday July the 11th,according to Jim L. “Big Bear” Huff, Promoter and Manager of Big Bear’s Saturday

Night Opry, in Mena. The Show, originally scheduled for April the 11th, was, as with many other events,

cancelled due to the Tornado that hit the area on April 9th.

A new location, the CMA Auditorium at Iron Mountain, 5 miles south of Mena on Hwy 71. Has been

selected for this years event due to the Middle School Aud. no longer being usable. The fine folks at

Christian Motorcycle Assoc. “CMA” were very gracious in assisting us in making their facility available for

this Competition, stated Huff. This facility has a great sound system and stage and is able to seat a very large

audience.

Last years show was a huge success providing some of the finest Gospel Music Performers from

the two state area, and entertaining an audience of 400 plus. We expect this show to be even bigger as the

popularity of the Sing-Off increases and this will be Gospel Music at its very best and certainly a show not to

Miss, said Huff.
