Does anyone know what kind of business is supposed to be going in next to Bobbie Pins Salon.? I have been seeing a sign, next to the highway, that says "Delaines Coming Soon"....just wondered if anyone knows what kind of business this may be... :scratch:

Don't know...also don't know what is going in where the dollar store used to be in the old James' center...noticed people in there the other day.

I have heard that Delaine's will be a take out/drive thru restaurant open for breakfast and lunch only.
Also, something similar to "Chuck E. Cheese" going in at old Dollar Store location.

I heard there's a real general dollar store going in over in cove or something?

A general Dollar store in Cove will be good for the people who live there.Save them lots of money and mabey save them from a trip to Mena :thumb:

I noticed today that the building is going up...

Okay, tell us what is good....maybe some of the items on the menu?

I've had Biscuits and Gravy,Homemade donuts, Monster Cinnamon Roll for breakfast, and Pork Stew for lunch. All were excellent. Burgers are supposed to be very good, from what I hear.

I had the donuts and a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit from there the other morning. Both were very good. The sausage, egg, and cheese are baked right into the biscut...which by the way is delish!!

Haven't tried any of the lunch there yet though. I will one day...

Its just a little concession trailer, I thought it was a restaurant type business with table and chairs. :huh:

I'm sure it's delicious, so I'm not dissing the quality or anything......but all I can say about the 2nd menu is..... thank goodness they're enlarging the medical clinics here....... :har: :laughing:

Haven't been on the Forum much lately, so this may have been discussed, but I wonder if Yummie's has closed? When I've been by there, it looks deserted.

No they are still there I went on sunday and the only complait was that they made the gravy a little floury

Since the Skyline re-opened, Yummies must be hurting pretty badly.
They need to go to the Skyline and see what good service is all about. :thumb:

Their hours have changed...not sure exactly when they close but after the lunch hour...they are not open at night anymore...

Yummies food is barely average, but the place smells of burned grease and bathroom disinfectant. Some vent hoods in the kitchen would be nice. As would a couple of Ionic Breeze air purifiers out front. And they should quit telling everyone “Welcome to Yummies”! Sounds like they’re trying to imitate Waffle House, which they are definitely not!

Skyline Café is as good as ever, maybe even better with more seating. I realize it’s hard to plan for a meal, but jeeze, I went there at 12:30 Sunday and really wanted their lunch special. Before I could order, they erased it from the menu board. So I had breakfast, again. The acoustics in there are terrible, sounds like you‘re in a tiled restroom. I’d sure hate to have to go there for an early breakfast after a big night out with Jose Cuervo!

Delaines donuts are so good that I wanted to call the lady "Mamma". These donuts reminded me of cruising across Texas 40 years ago. Every town it seemed, had a bakery that sold these hugh donuts. Heaven! So good I almost cried!!!

Will they take call-in orders? If so, what's their phone number?

What are their business hours?

They have posted a sign that says closed for the winter.

What? No way!

I only got to eat there once. And, it was the best durned burger I've had since Dan's Dairy Hut closed.

Maybe they'll re-open until winter actually comes.

Oh well. Here's hoping for an early spring.

What happend to the other tanning place by Papa Poblanos? I noticed a rent sign on awhile back.
