Title: "MOUNTAINFEST CANCELLED"
Louisa - September 16, 2009 02:27 PM (GMT)
I just received a call from Lynn Dilbeck, unfortunately Mountainfest is being cancelled due to the shows large tents getting shredded up on the mountain last night due to the bad weather.

Dang it, this happened last year. I haven't gotten to go to mountain fest in like 3 years.
Yeah I know. I'm being whiny, but I like my crafts.

i know a vender who payed 40 bucks for a spot up there last year and when it got called off they never got there money back. they payed 40 bucks this year too, i wonder if there gonna get there money refunded this year? no way should the fest keep it, its not the venders problem it got called off, too keep it is stealing.

 Seriously? Wow. The people who paid for a spot definitely need to be refunded.
Anyone else know about this?

Maybe they'll have to return to the August date they used to have. Don't recall it having to be cancelled many times, if ever.

I payed for a booth, I was hoping to make some sales to offset what I payed. but with it being canceled I guess I'm out of luck. It would be "great" if the vendor fees were reimbursed. With no re-schedule date or no fees being reimbursed I don't think I'll try again next year. Bummer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You might want to try the Mt Ida Quartz, Quilts & Crafts festival, there's a piece about it in the general discussions page-I went last year, it's a lot of fun, and they may have room for more crafters.
