Anybody know? I was there a week or so ago and the librarian had no idea when they would reopen the main part. Geez, can't understand what's taking so long to fix what appeared to be just a leaky roof.
Didn't they have insurance? I could understand not being able to get a contractor during the time right after the tornado, more important to get people back in homes, ect, but this sure puzzles me.
I hope somebody can post, 'Hey dummy, they opened yesterday' but am willing to bet that ain't the case.
My better half goes to the library everyday at least once. She said there was more damage than just a leaky roof. After the roof was damaged then came the rain. The roof had to be fixed, new insulation, new air conditioning ducts and unit, new carpet, and more.
Thanks, Sling. Still, it's been about 6 months. I noticed all the books and shelves appear gone from where they were.
I was hoping for a guesstimate on when it would be done, plan to offer to give them gals up there a hand restocking the books.

They have told her that they have no idea when the work will be finished. They are taking names and telephone numbers so that when they are ready they will call for volunteers. She has her name on the list now. :thumb:
