Subject: Labor for your neighbor!

Good evening, I have an important announcement!

The Polk County Long Term Recovery Committee is sponsoring a week of local recovery projects, Labor for Your Neighbor, October 5-11! It is our goal to see Mena and Polk County enter winter with no tarps on roofs! In addition to construction and roofing, we will have many other projects, something for everyone! Please pass the word, we need volunteers, projects and money to purchase materials and supplies.

Labor for Your Neighbor will culminate Sunday, October 11 with a community picnic at Janssen Park. Food will be provided along with music and a time of remembrance and celebration. Together as a community we will remember those who lost lives, loved ones and property in the April 9 Tornado, we will celebrate the future as we look ahead.
