Title: ATTA BOY!
Description: Mena officers build house for storm vict
BIGRED - September 28, 2009 10:51 PM (GMT)
Several Mena Police Officers just finished building a house for a disabled veteran whose house was destroyed in the tornado. The disabled vets' home was built using FEMA money and donations. The officers worked on their own time to build the house. Mr. Cook is over joyed with his new home and told me "I never thought I'd live in a house this nice".
With all the negative press the police department usually gets, I just wanted to thank them for taking the time to help Mr. Cook.

I have to give props to the officer that took this project and made it happen was BM. He worked hard and solid and was the drivng behind this project! Also, other officers involved were NG, JM, and others....plus, the many contractors and businesses that donated time and materials. BM, you did a wonderful thing and you should be commended for it!!

Now this is the kind of press that these guys need. Hope someone will get it in one of the local papers so more people can hear about it.

DH and RH also put in many hours over there. All the people that helped with this project are awesome examples of concern for the most vulnerable in the community.  :thumb: :thumb:
