Rich Mountain Community College Fall Festival Set for October 29

Rich Mountain Community College’s Fall Festival is Thursday, October 29. This event, hosted by the RMCC Foundation and RMCC student organizations, is open to the community.

Entertainment, food, and games for all ages will begin at 4 p.m. and conclude at 8 p.m. on the Mena campus of RMCC at 1100 College Drive. Parking and festivities will be outside behind the Maddox Building. Meal tickets will be $5 per person with a menu of hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, baked beans, coleslaw, drinks, and dessert.
Kids will each receive five free game tickets and can also purchase additional tickets at five tickets for a dollar at the festival. DJ Double Down will provide the musical entertainment with a wide array of music selections throughout the event.

Funds raised at the festival will be split between the Foundation and the participating student organizations. The Foundation’s portion of the proceeds will go to support scholarships for high school students taking concurrent classes at RMCC. Arvest Bank has pledged $250 as a kickoff to this portion of the fund raising effort.
In addition to Arvest, other community sponsors assisting with the event are Country Express, Fish Net Family Restaurant, First National Bank, Mena McDonald’s, Myer’s Cruizzers Drive-In, Sonic Drive-In, Stewman’s Flowers and Candy, Subway, and Union Bank of Mena.

Meal tickets will be available to purchase by calling 479-394-7622 ext 1212 or at the festival. In case of inclement weather, the festival will take place at the Historic Armory on DeQueen Street in Mena.
