Does the quantity of acorns have anything to do with the type of winter we will have? They are everywhere - can't walk outside without them pelting me and they hit the house a lot - thought it was hailing the other night when the wind was blowing but it wasn't even raining.

Yep another sign of a rough winter comeing.

Ask me in March and Ill tell you what kind of winter we will have! Since the beginning of time people have looked for signs to tell what lies ahead! I personaly belive that there is now sign of what the future has in store for us! Time will tell though, just be patient!

I think that the abundant acorns are due to the fact that we've had a very wet year this year.
We had at least as many acorns falling last Autumn, but the Winter wasn't exceptionally bad last year.
Go by the persimmon seeds for certainty. :thumb: They're all showing a spoon this year......cold and wet, but not icy. They showed spoons last year, too.
