What seemed like he was always doing, he was sitting at home alone, doing just about nothing? He would watch TV or a movie. Pretty much he was doing nothing. He had been like this for a few days now. Most of his friends where in school still and their where having testing and finals and stuff, and Jake not being in school anymore didn’t have anything to do bit sit on his ass all day. He sighed as he was about to get up and jump in the pool but he looked out the window and saw that there was a ton of people there. He guessed it was some sort of party and last thing Jakewanted to get was get lost in the middle of that. So he sighed and walked around for a moment then he decided to head to the beach. It was like the pool sort of and was something to do, better then just sitting on his ass doing nothing. So he grabbed a bag and stuffed a towel and a bright green freebee. He was already in his swim trunks that where a light blue that had Hawaiian flower print on it. It was simple but it looked nice on him, well people told him that it looked on him. Jake couldn’t care less how he looked really.

Once he was ready he left and headed downstairs then went to his car that he got in and left the parking lot. He went down the road and went on driving tell he was almost there but he stopped at Seven Eleven he got large water and a bag of lays. Once he paid for them he got back into his car and drove on to the beach. He pulled into the parking lot but went past where you normally parked to go to the beach. Since at the last moment Jake decided to rent a boat, he didn’t like going in the water of the beach to much. Since it was so dirty and Jake just hated it. So he went and parked in front of where the building was that you rented boats where. He parked and got out. Leavening his bag in the car, like he would need a towel and a bright green freebee on a boat.

Jake went and walked inside of the building and looked at what boats they had, there was a nice little speed boat, it was nice looking and a good size and it didn’t cost a million bucks to rent for a day. He paid to rent it for the day and had to feel out a few papers before he got to go to the dock and get the boat. Once he was on the dock he talked to one of the guys that worked their, that told him the rules and stuff and handed him the keys. With a smile Jake walked to the boat and got ready to head out.

Meredith walked along the beach quietly thinking to herself as the salty breeze whipped through her hair. She couldn't quite figure out why she was here, because she knew she hated the sand more than anything else on god's green earth.
She noticed Jake at the rental station and called out to him, waving, and jogged over to him.

"Hey stranger, taking out a boat, I see? All by your little lonesome?"

she giggled looking for one that would fit his personality, noticing the speed boat. and watching them load it into the water from the stacked number of large boats available for rent

Sailing, something Jake liked to do but he never got to do it a lot before. He would try to do it as much as he could back home but he didnt get to do it a lot. With his father and school ans some other stuff he just didnt have the time. Seeing that there wasa rental place in town, and it didnt cost a lot and had nice boats he knew he woud be here. Boating was fun and Jake always liked to do it.

As be was about walk onto the boat, someone walked up to him and Jake smirked and turned around and saw who it was. "Hey girl... and iam not loney... just have the need for speed" he said with a chuckle. He looked around a moment. "Want to join me its so much fun" he siad.

Meredith attempted to overcome her feat of the water all too quickly as she considrerd all of the BAD things that could happen on a speed boat in the ocean. She tried not to think about all of the bad movies she's seen...like Titanic, Deep Blue Sea.... Hell! even Lake Placid had scared her enough not to touch water anymore.

She smiled at his response and nodded a 'yes' slightly unwilingly and followed him to board the boat.

He looked at her for a moment and smirked a little she looked scared about it or something. Was it the boat, the water? or both or something else, Jake didn't know. Once he herd her say yes he smiled and took her hand then helped her onto the boat. "Don't worry iam a safe driver" he said then handed her a life jacket, he didnt need one nor did he want one but since she seemed scared he handed her one. "Just have a seat your going to love this" he said then took a seat in front of the steer wheel. Then started it up and slowly drove from the harbor, it was a rule that you had to drive slow there tell you reached the open waters where you could speed up. "Your ok with this right? he asked before he took off.
