Hi - Glad that you restarted our thread.

The game was decided before the end by the officials! That was a poorly officiated game for both teams.

BTW- What's this I saw you want a Knoxville team? :D Don't we already have enough NCAA rivalry going...LOL :kick

I was just happy that they came back to make it a game. The Sun looked awful.

Yeah...there was some bad officiating going on...
but, good aggressive hustle...(yeah, too many fouls)

I enjoy watching the Douglas girl play..seems like she is a balanced player
and the rookie, ..Phillips, reminds me of Latta moving the ball up court.

Now, HF, what could be better than another team in Knoxville? :rolleyes:

I thought they looked OK...they just slipped up in the OT period... :huh:

I agree about Erin Phillips. She has been quite the spark off the bench and a defensive asset while Lindsey Whalen gets herself back into game shape. :D And she's only 21 years old.....

I'm not sure what exactly is going on with Holdsclaw. I did read that she's having more personal issues, like last year. She is an outstanding player!!! :)

To be honest, I wouldn't mind another team or two.....so maybe you'll get your wish for a Knoxville team. They have the market for it, just like us. :D

Katie Douglas is my favorite player on the team, so you're observant... :D

I heard the same thing about Holtzclaw at the beginning of season...she had some family issues she needed to take care of...I am wondering though if she's having another bout of depression. You know she had an episode about 2-3 years ago when she was still playing for the Mystics....

Sure hopes she comes back... :huh:

Hello ladies!

They were very vaque about Holdsclaws problems again. They may have only been told the standard line. I bet shes dealing with the depression again also. I miss seeing her too, hope she sorts everything out and gets back on the court soon.

I also agree with you both about the new point for the Sun, Phillips. No question where she gets her athleticism and hard nosed play from, those Aussie footballers are real tough guys, she's a chip off the old block!

I'm a little concerned though about this forum. Its "for the mature minded sports lovers"? Does that mean we have to behave? I remember the old thread starting with a very mature discussion of how HOTTT Carolyn Peck was. Well I won't bring that up then. :D

Caroline Peck coached the Orlando Miracle!!! I do love her and she is such a sweet person. A friend of mine has been to several parties with her and has gotten several autographs. She is extremely well spoken and a very caring coach. Now since she has coached my beloved Gators it is even better! :D

Wow- The basketball fan base has grown for us. It has been just bc gal, PG, and me for a while. The more the merrier, as they say. :D

Liberty is gonna have to pull together as a team. Lot of new players. For so many years we had the regular starters who knew each others moves and meshed well. it's gonna take time. But then again they have always started out the season poorly.

Yes that was a title of a movie, and an entertaining movie at that. And darn it all, you did remind us all to watch the special tonight and I missed it as well! Watching the Sky and Sparks. And yes of course there is a lot of love in b-ball. :)

Glad to see Chicago make a game with the Sparks...Leslie just too much. It was not a pretty ball game, girls... too many turnovers.
