Chapter 1

Nikki was sat on her sofa watching the usual line up of soaps, relaxing after a hard days work. She worked at a night club called ‘Chix’ which she co-owned with her ex Trisha. The phone began to ring, Nikki groaned, then picked it up.
“Hello?”
“Hiya Nik, fancy coming out with me and Jess 2nite? Were going to a few clubs in town, would love for you to come too!” came the voice from the other end of the phone.
“Err I really don’t feel like coming out tonight Chlo” Nikki replies.
“Aww come on, you’ll have a good time, you haven’t been out for ages!”
Nikki thinks for a moment, Chloe was right, she hadn’t been out for ages, she deserves to have a good time.
“Okay Chlo, you’ve twisted my arm, I’ll come out” Nikki says sounding a little bit more enthusiastic than before.
“Didn’t take much did it Nik?!” Chloe laughs “See you outside of Blu Bambu at 11!” Chlo exclaims as she hangs up.
“Bye to you too” Nikki says chuckling to herself.

It was 11:15pm and as always Nikki was the one left waiting around, it didn’t bother her too much though, she was used to it. Nikki looked at her watch for the 10th time since she arrived, hadn’t changed much. She looked up to see if she could see Chlo or Jess, no sign. Then all of a sudden she heard someone shout her name.
“NIKKI!” she shouted.
Nikki looked in the direction of the shouting. She figured as much, it was Chloe and Jess. They both came striding over to her.
“About bloody time” Nikki says tapping her watch.
“Sorry Nik, me and Chlo found this amazing strip club, beautiful girls all round, u have to see it!” Jess exclaimed, very animatedly.
“Strip Clubs?!” Nikki raised her eyebrows “You know there not my thing”
“Nik, you have to come with us, it’s brilliant!” Chlo piped up then looked at her with puppy dog eyes. Nikki rolled her head back.
“That’s not fair, I only came out because I thought we were going to a few clubs, not strip clubs” at that Jess decides to join in and give her the look too.
“Please Nik...Please” jess pleads giggling. Nikki lets out a sigh.
“Fine, but im leaving straight away, if it’s not as good as you say!” she laughs, then Chlo and Jess drag her round the next street.

Once inside, Nikki takes in her surroundings, they were right, there were a lot of beautiful girls. She grinned slightly, not thinking anyone would notice.
“I think she’s impressed” jess giggles. Nikki playfully nudges her in the belly.
“What can I get you two to drink then?” Nikki asks swiftly changing the subject.
“Vodka and coke for me please, very nice of you Nik” Chlo grins.
“Don’t say I never do anything for you” Nikki replies.
“Amaretto and coke please, thanks Nik” Jess smiles. While Nikki is at the Bar Jess and Chloe find them some seats.
As she makes her way over to them, someone catches her eye. Nikki stops in her tracks. She was gorgeous. She looked the petite woman up and down, taking in all her features, her shoulder length honey blonde hair, her hazel eyes, perfect pins….Nikki had to bring herself back before she started to drool. She made her way to her seat and placed the drinks on the table in front of them.
“Thanks Nik” they both said in unison. She couldn’t take her eyes off her, she tried but her eyes were drawn to this woman. Jess and Chloe realised her staring, so Chloe stepped into action and walked over to where the woman was dancing. Nikki noticed her walking over and turned to Jess.
“What she doing?”
“You’ll see” Jess said winking. Nikki turned back to see the woman nod to Chloe as she walked away. Chloe winked at Nikki.
“What are you doing Chlo?” Nikki asked
“You’ll see” she replied saying the exact same thing Jess had just said.
About 10 minutes later, Nikki was laughing at how bad Jess was telling a joke, when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned round. It was her, the woman she couldn’t stop staring at.
“Enjoy Nikki!” Chloe shouted as the small woman dragged her up and into a small room at the back, it was red, with red fabricated seats.
“What are you doing?” Nikki asked the woman.
“I would have thought that was obvious” she said in a Scottish tone as she pushed Nikki down on to the chair and turned the music up a little. “Your friend told me you need loosening up” The small woman was dressed in a bikini and small mini skirt, with heels to die for. She started to do a lap dance for Nikki. Nikki was totally in awe of the women that stood before her, she was lost for words, kind of.
“What’s your name?” Nikki asked as she watched her body move to the beat.
“Ahh now that would be telling..” she teased. Nikki bit her lip.
“But how will I know who to ask for when I next come in?” Nikki asked grinning. The woman smiled sexily, then bent down to whisper in Nikki’s ear.
“Helen” it rolled of her tongue with ease.
“Nice to meet you Helen” Nikki smiled as Helen continued dancing.

After about 20 minutes, Nikki emerged from the little room, looking a little flushed, she rejoined her friends.
“What’s up Nikki, you look a little…..hot!” Jess laughed.
“I think I need a cold shower” Nikki laughed then took a big drink of her lager.
“She that good then?” Chlo asked teasing.
“A lady never tells” Nikki teases back.
“When were you ever a lady Nik?” Jess asks sticking her tongue out.
“Watch it you” Nikki replies pointing her finger in Jess’s direction.

Chapter 2

3 weeks later

Nikki pulled up outside, turned the engine off and smiled. She wasn’t really the type that frequented lap dancing clubs but there was something about this one, well not something, rather someone. Helen. Nikki’s smile widened at the thought of her. It was the 3rd time she’d been in the past week, people might start talking, but then again she didn’t care, was it any of their business? She got out of the car and entered the club, straightening her shirt collar as she did so. The music was pounding and it was busier than usual. Nikki headed for the bar to get herself a drink and scanned the room for Helen, no sign of her. Someone tapped her on the shoulder so she turned round thinking it was her, she was wrong. She was met with a tall well built man, with a deep voice.
“Can you follow me please” he said, ordering her rather than asking. Charming Nikki thought. She picked up her drink and followed him. He led her to a private room, not one she had seen before, quite luxurious.
“Wait here” he said as he walked out.
“Thank you, nice talking to you too” Nikki replied sarcastically. She sat down, taking in her surroundings. The door opened.
“Well if it isn’t my favourite client”
“In the flesh” Nikki quipped.
“You just can’t get enough eh?” Helen flirtatiously said as he moved over to the stereo to turn the music on.
“Something like that”
Helen started to move her hips to the beat, moving closer to Nikki with every step. Nikki watched in awe. She couldn’t believe what she was about to do, she got up and turned the music off. Helen looks at her wondering what she’s doing.
“As much as it pained me to do that, I actually came here with a hidden agenda” she says looking a little nervous.
“A hidden agenda?” Helen asks puzzled.
“I wanted to ask you if you would um…if you would like to go out with me tomorrow night?”
“As in a date?”
“You can say no…I’d be fine with it -…“
“Nikki….I’d love too” Helen smiled, her tongue creeping through her teeth. Nikki grins broadly.
“I can pick you up if you like?”
“Are you going to need my address?”
“It would help” they both laugh.
“It’s 24 Butterfield Drive, Black hall”
“I know where that is, makes it easier. Is 7:30 ok for you?”
“Fine yeah. Im looking forward to it” Helen looks away then meets Nikki’s eyes again.
“Me too” They don’t break eye contact “I guess I will see you tomorrow night” Nikki turns to leave and grins, not quite believing she has a date.
“Can’t wait” she replies mirroring Nikki’s face.

It’s a warm summer evening, a perfect night for a date. Nikki checks herself out in the rear-view mirror. Looking good Wade. She gets out of the car and walks up to Helen’s front door. Be cool Nikki, be cool. Nikki takes a deep breath before she knocks on the door. The door opens to reveal Helen beaming nervously.
“Hiya Nikki”
“Hi” she replies taking in the sight before her. Helen is dressed in figure hugging jeans with a floaty casual summer top, revealing just the right amount of cleavage. Quite the change from her usual attire at work.
“Are you ready to go?”
“Yeah I’m ready” Helen says as she locks her door. She secretly checks Nikki’s backside out as she walks on ahead. Nikki is wearing a smart blouse and trouser outfit, which perfectly shows off her slender figure. Helen bites her lip, not realising she’s being watched.
“What are you smiling at? Nikki asks curiously, to which Helen is startled.
“Nothing!” Helen un-intentionally snaps.
“Only asking” Nikki laughs.

Nikki and Helen have just finished eating; the waitress comes over to clear their plates.
“Was everything ok for you?” the waitress asks.
“Yes very nice thank you” Nikki smiles.
“Yes thank you” Helen says as she clears her plate.
“Can I get you anything else?”
“Just the bill please” Nikki says taking a drink of her wine. The waitress nods and walks away. Within 5minutes, she’s back, bill in hand. She places it on the table with a smile.
“How much do I owe you?” Helen asks taking her purse out of her bag.
“Nothing, it’s on me”
“I can’t let you pay for it all, I want to pay my half” Helen persists.
“No, I want to pay, you can pay next time”
“Next time?” Helen raises her eyebrow.
“Well if there is a next time?”
Helen just grins as if to say, you can count on it. They pay the bill and leave, but neither of them wants this date to end yet.
“Do you want to go for a walk?”
“Yes” Helen quickly responds, she looks down at her feet and laughs, a little embarrassed about how eager she just sounded.
“You’re adorable” Nikki says lifting Helen’s head up with her finger. She blushes. “Shall we?” Nikki holds her arm out for Helen to hold onto. She accepts.

“How did you get into lap dancing? I mean, you don’t seem the type to be doing that sort of thing”
“Oh? And what types that?” Helen gets defensive and pulls her arm away from Nikki.
“I didn’t mean to offend you, that’s the last thing I want to do. Im just interested”
“Im sorry, I didn’t mean to bite your head off”
“Its ok, you can bite my head off anytime” Nikki smirks and manages to make Helen blush again.
“I started work lap dancing when my boyfriend-…ex-boyfriend threw me out of our flat. He cheated on me, yet I get thrown out, how does that work? I’d just lost my job, I had no where to go, no money, and lap dancing was a way for me to earn money and get back on my feet” Helen looks down at her feet.
“You seem to be back on your feet and doing pretty well now, so why are you still doing it?”
“It’s all I know. I wanted to go to University but I couldn’t afford it, so I just took what I could get”
“If you had gone to University what would you have studied?”
“I want to be a teacher because I love kids, so I guess something to do with that” Helen smiles.
“You said ‘I want to be a teacher’ if you still want it, then why not go for it, what have you got to lose?”
Helen looks up at Nikki.
“I don’t know, it’s a big step Nikki, I don’t think I could start from scratch”
“Helen, I bet you can do anything you put your mind to. It might be a big step but it’s a step you want to take”
“I’ll think about it”
“I can live with that answer, as long as you give it some thought, you deserve to be successful Helen” Helen looks at Nikki and folds her arms. She shivers slightly from the cool night air. Nikki takes her jacket off and wraps it round her shoulders.
“Thanks”
“Anytime”
“So what about you?” Helen asks, changing the subject.
“What about me?”
“What do you do for a living?” Helen asks.
“Me and my ex-girlfriend own a club together called Chix.”
“You own that place?” Nikki nods. “Ive been there a couple of times with my friends, its one of the best clubs in the area”
“Thank you” came the modest reply “I can’t believe you’ve been in before, I’ve never noticed you around”
“I blend in easy” Helen states.
“I can’t believe someone like you could blend in easy”
“I’m not sure if that’s a compliment or not” Helen laughs.
“It’s a compliment, trust me” Nikki winks. They gaze at each other, searching each other eyes. Nikki breaks the silence.
“I suppose we should be getting back to the car”
“I suppose”
They make there way back towards Nikki’s car. Nikki reaches for Helen’s hand, Helen responds by entwining her fingers with Nikki’s.

Nikki gets out of the car and walks Helen up to her front door.
“I had a really nice time tonight, thank you Nikki”
“The pleasure was all mine” she smiles back.
“When can I see you again?”
“Whenever your free, your turn to pick where we go. Here’s my number” Nikki takes a piece of paper out of her pocket and hands it to Helen. “Phone me whenever you like”
Helen takes it and puts the paper in the pocket of her jeans. They find themselves staring into each other eyes, trying to figure out what the other is thinking. Nikki decides to bite the bullet; she leans in and kisses Helen softly on the lips. Helen responds, by wrapping her arms round Nikki’s neck. Nikki pulls Helen close to her body, their kiss deepens. Helen opens her mouth slightly to allow Nikki’s tongue entry. Nikki moves her hands over Helen’s back, while Helen runs her fingers through Nikki’s hair. They both pull back at the same time and rest their foreheads on each other.
“I better go…”
“Ok” Helen holds onto Nikki’s hand for as long as she can until she can’t reach anymore. Nikki winks at her just before she gets into her car. Helen watches as she drives off, then leans back against her door and sighs.

Chapter 3

Helen sat on her sofa watching TV even though there wasn’t really anything on worth watching. She looked at the clock – 10:45pm. It had been 3 days since their 1st date. They had planned on going out tonight, but Nikki had already told Trish she would work. She really wished she could see Nikki tonight. Nikki being at work wouldn’t have bothered her but the fact that she couldn’t get her out of her head was driving her crazy. How does she manage to make me feel like this when she isn’t even here she thought. She threw her head back and sighed frustratingly. Then she thought, was there anything stopping her from going over to the club and saying hi? She turned the TV off and practically ran up the stairs to change. Within half an hour she was ready, out the door and into the taxi. Yes she could be ready quick when she wanted to be.

Helen stepped inside the club, the music was pounding. She found her way to the bar and looked around for Nikki. She was at the other end of the bar; Helen looked her up and down and smiled to herself, black trousers and a white tank top never looked so good. Nikki was slowly making her way down the line of customers, getting closer to Helen. Nikki gave the tall guy next to Helen his change and took a deep breath in and smiled.
“What can I -…..” Nikki stopped speaking when she realised just who she was asking “Helen!”
“The one and only” Helen teased.
“What are you doing here?” she asked smiling widely as she leaned on the bar.
“I thought I’d come and see you since we couldn’t go out tonight…..is that ok?” Helen looked a little unsure.
“Course it is, I’ve got a reason to take a break now” Nikki winked. She shouted over to Trish and signalled she was taking a 5, Trish nodded in agreement. Nikki tilted her head in the direction of the office for Helen to follow her. Trish looked on and couldn’t help feeling a little jealous.

Nikki closed the office door behind them, and then she literally collapsed on the sofa. She sighed heavily but in relief that she could finally sit down.
“You look knackered” Helen stated caringly
“Is that your way of saying ‘you look like shit’? Nikki joked.
“No, you should take things easy, you work too hard” Helen said as she sat down next to her. They fall silent.
“Helen…I’m sorry for rushing away after our date the other night…I just want to take things slow, you know?”
“I know, its ok, I do too, I don’t want us to rush into anything. I’ve never been in a relationship with a woman before and I also know I’ve never felt so strongly about anyone within the first few days of seeing them”
“We don’t have to anything your not ready for” Nikki started to smirk “its gonna be a challenge trying to keep my hands off you, but what’s a girl to do” Helen smiled and playfully punched Nikki’s arm, which started a play fight. They looked like a couple of love struck teenagers. Nikki pulled Helen onto her lap, held her arms out the way, kissed her neck then bit her, Helen squealed excitedly.
“Owww Nikki that hurts!” Helen shouted through her laughter.
“Wimp!” Nikki responded.
“Heeeeeey!” she laughed and tried to wriggle out of Nikki’s grip. Nikki found it funny to see Helen struggling when she really wasn’t holding her very tight. Helen pulled hard which startled Nikki so they both ended up on the floor. Nikki was on all fours over Helen. They both continued laughing at how they came to end up like that. Nikki’s face turned serious, she just stared at her. Helen grinned.
“What?”
“You’re amazing”
“How? Cos I managed to make us both end up on the floor like a pair-…”
“Helen?”
“Yes?”
“Shut up” Nikki lowered her head and kissed her softly on the lips. Helen responded by opening her mouth slightly and sucking on Nikki’s top lip. The kiss was tender, and Nikki ran her hands up and down Helen’s sides. Helen cupped Nikki’s face and let out a moan. Helen pulled back and put a finger on Nikki’s lips.
“Not here” she said breathlessly.
“I can’t help myself” Nikki grinned.
“I know how you feel” She replied mirroring Nikki’s look.
The door to the office sprung open.
“Nik…..”
Nikki and Helen looked at Trish who had a flushed look to her cheeks, although not for the same reason they did.
“Oh….sorry….I need your help out here Nik” Trish looked everywhere but at them.
“I’ll be right th-“
Before Nikki could finish her sentence, Trish was gone. Nikki got up and helped Helen up too.
“Duty calls” she chuckled.
“I’ve got an idea, how about you come over to my flat tomorrow night and I will cook for you?” Helen asked wrapping her arms round Nikki’s neck.
“You cook?” Nikki raises an eyebrow.
“You seem surprised” Helen asks.
“Not surprised, curious as to what else I don’t know about you”
“If you come over tomorrow night you can find out anything you want” she smiled placing her tongue between her teeth.
“You just try and keep me away” Nikki smiled kissing her lightly. Helen smiled as she did it.
“I love when you do that”
Nikki tried to do it again, but Helen teased her and pulled out from her arms.
“She needs your help out there”
Nikki holds her arms up in defeat.
“I’m going, I’m going” she laughed.
Nikki held the door open for Helen, then followed her out.
“I’ll see you tomorrow” Nikki mouthed as Helen walked away. Helen nodded and winked as she left the club. Nikki started to serve the clubbers and looked over at Trish, she looked upset but she didn’t know why.

Trish had just locked the doors after the last few people had filed out. She sighed as she started to mop the floors. Nikki came out the cellar to collect glasses in.
“Look Trish, I’m sorry about earlier, I got carried away”
“You should be bloody sorry! I’m out here working my arse off and you’re in there carrying on with some woman!”
“She’s not just some woman! And anyway since when did you care?”
Trish just looked at Nikki, her face full of anger.
“Are you jealous?” Nikki asked not quite believing it.
“NO!” Trish replied a little too harsh and quick to be true.
“I can’t believe this, how can you be jealous, you were the one that broke up with me, my heart was the one broken and now I’ve finally moved on you’re telling me you’re jealous!”
Trish didn’t even have to say a word, regret was written all over her face. Nikki put the empty glasses down and moved closer to Trish.
“Trish, 3 months ago if you had told me you wanted to try and work things out, I wouldn’t have said no, but now I’ve moved on and I think me and Helen could have something special, there’s no going back”
Trish wiped a tear away from her eye.
“I know that, I do, I just know I made a big mistake when I let you go….I’m going to have to deal with that” Trish stopped herself from crying and continued to clean; Nikki wasn’t quite sure what just happened. Nikki decided to leave her to it and picked up the glasses.

Chapter 4

“Nikki?” Helen shouts from the Kitchen “I need your help!”
Nikki makes her way to the Kitchen to find Helen struggling top open a bottle of wine. Nikki laughs.
“You need to grow some muscles woman” Nikki teased
“I have muscles thank you very much and since when did you decide to call me ‘woman’?” Helen raised an eyebrow. Nikki took the cork out of the bottle and placed them on the table looking pleased with herself.
“Since you became MY woman” Nikki grinned and pulled Helen towards her. Helen tried to resist but it didn’t work.
“Don’t get any idea’s” she warned, Helen smiled and tried to move away from Nikki’s hold on her but Nikki wouldn’t let her go.
“Do you want dinner to burn?” She asked laughing
“It’s not going to burn” Nikki states.
“How is it not, if you don’t let me go?” Helen quizzes.
“Because I’m having you for dinner and you aren’t going to burn are you?” Nikki smirks and kisses Helen’s neck playfully. Helen closes her eyes as she feels her lover’s lips lightly on her neck.
“I made this dinner and your going to eat, even if I have to tie you up and feed you it myself”
“ooo Yes please” Nikki winks. Helen hits her arm.
“Nikki!”
Nikki lets her go, as Helen brushes past her she whispers in her ear.
“Later”
As Helen put their dinner out, Nikki set the table and then poured two glasses of wine out for them both. Helen placed their plates down on the table.
“Mmmm looks good” Nikki licks her lips.
“I hope you like it, nothing fancy, just a Chicken Risotto”
Nikki placed some on her fork and tasted it, by the look on her face Nikki looked like she was going to throw up.
“What? You don’t like it?” Helen panicked. Then a grin spread across Nikki’s face.
“I’m joking, it’s lovely”
“You know how to make me sweat don’t you” Helen laughed a little.
“Well I hope I do” Nikki said suggestively which made Helen blush.
After they had finished their dinner, Nikki washed up while Helen put her feet up on the sofa. When she had finished, she joined Helen in the living room. She sat next to Helen, who instantly moved her legs and placed them back on top of Nikki after she’d sat down. Everything about these two was done so effortlessly and they didn’t have to think about their actions, it just all fell into place.
“Helen, can I talk to you about something?” Nikki asked.
“Of course, what’s wrong?”
“I don’t want you to feel like I’m trying to run your life, because I’m not…”
“Nikki, what is it?”
“I don’t like the thought of you working in the club anymore, you don’t need to, and you’re worth so much more than that”
“Nikki, I need the money, I haven’t got any choice, I have a mortgage to pay off”
“I will help you with that, I will support you”
“I can’t ask you to do that”
“Your not, I’m offering, I earn enough money to support both of us, please let me do this for you, for us?”
“Nikki I need that job, I don’t like it either but its all I have to keep me busy”
“You could get another job, a better job. I don’t like the thought of you there having all of those men or woman all over you…..” she pauses and looks down then looks back up at Helen.
“I know we haven’t been together very long but…I’m falling in love with you and I don’t want to share you, I want you all to myself….I know that sounds selfish…”
Helen sits up and moves her body closer to Nikki and moves her head so that they are looking straight into each others eyes.
“I’m falling in love with you too” she smiles. Nikki smiles with relief knowing that she feels the same way. Helen cups Nikki’s face and kisses her lightly.
“And Nikki, I’m going to quit my job tomorrow”
Nikki wraps her arms around Helen.
“You won’t regret this, I promise”
“I know I won’t”

Helen walked into the club; she was greeted by her boss, Jim Fenner. He wasn’t the nicest of people, he had a way of twisting things, the tiniest of things, and Helen never really liked him. She’d never been comfortable around him since the day he tried it on with her and she said no. He didn’t like that one bit and he’d gone out of his way to make it harder for her every day she’d worked there. But that was all about to change, Helen felt a sense of pride because of what she was about to do. She felt good about herself again.
“Helen, what brings you here this morning? Your not due in till tomorrow night” Jim put his arm around her shoulder, she flinched slightly. Jim noticed this.
“Helen, calm down” he gave her a filthy smile. Helen shook her head a little to erase the smile from her mind.
“Look Jim, Im not going to beat around the bush, I came here to tell you Im quitting”
“Quitting? Why?”
“Im not happy doing this anymore and I want out, I can do better than this”
Jim cleared his throat and put his hand on her lower back.
“I beg to differ love, I don’t think you could do any better than this” he moves his hand lower so he’s touching her bottom.
“Don’t you touch me” Helen jumped back.
“Your so jumpy today Helen, is something wrong?” Jim smirked. Helen reached into her bag and pulled out her notice. She couldn’t look him in the eyes.
“As from today, I quit” She handed it to him as she walked away. She didn’t get very far, he pulled her back, and held her close, too close for comfort in Helen’s eyes. She tried to move away from him but he was too strong.
“Aren’t we forgetting something? Who was the one that helped you when you needed someone most, who gave you a job, money?”
Helen tried to ignore him. He had a hold of her wrists really tight, he was getting angrier.
“Who?!...Look at me!” he yelled. She looked at him with tears in her eyes. “Who?”
“You did”
“Exactly, so you’re not going anywhere” he snarled.
“Yes I am, you can’t stop me!” she shouted right in his face.
“Look who’s gotten all firm with me all of a sudden” he sniggered “You’re a joke love”
Helen let tears fall from her eyes.
“Are you still going to quit?” he asked.
“YES!” she shot back. He laughs evilly and picks her up and pins her against the wall by her neck. She screams in pain.
“I don’t think you heard me….I said are you going to quit?!”
“No” she says threw her tears.
“That’s my Girl, I want you at work tomorrow night, if your not here, I’ll find you” he says kissing her on the cheek and grinning. He lets go of her and she runs out of the club as fast as her legs will carry her, tears streaming down her face. She gets into her car, locks the doors and takes her mobile out of her bag, she is shaking so much she keeps pressing the wrong buttons, Helen screams in frustration. She brings Nikki’s number up on the screen. She looks at it but doesn’t ring her. She throws her phone on the passenger seat, wipes her eyes and drives off as if she was on a formula 1 track.

Helen pulls up outside her house and rushes inside. She leans against the door as it closes and slides down it, in a heap on the floor. She buries her head in her hands and cries again, which seems to be the hundredth time of the day. Helen rakes through her bag to find her phone but then realises she’s left it in the car. She so wants to phone Nikki but can’t remember her number off by heart. Helen gets up and goes to have a shower, to get the feeling of him off her skin. She can’t even bare to think his name let alone say it. She undresses and steps in the shower and lets the water slowly trickle over her skin. She whispers Nikki’s name.

Nikki has just finished helping Trish get the club ready for opening later. It was Friday night, one of there busiest nights and Nikki was glad she wasn’t working. Nikki helped out now and again, although she mostly dealt with the money side of running the club. She was happy with that. Trish came into the office; Nikki was sitting behind the desk going through the figures. Trish smiled when Nikki greeted her.
“Aren’t you finished now Nik?”
Nikki looked at her watch.
“Yeah I am, just thought id have a quick glance at last months income”
“How does it look?”
“Pretty damn good” Nikki stated looking pleased.
“Great. Nik, I want to say im sorry for the other day, I don’t know what came over me”
Nikki closed the file she was looking at, then put her jacket on.
“Look Trish, its ok, lets just forget about it. Even though im with Helen, I still care about you, you know that”
“I know you do, I still care about you too and I don’t want you getting hurt….like I hurt you” Trish looked down at the floor.
“I know, and I also know you didn’t mean to hurt me, I’ve forgiven you for that, but like I said the other day, I’ve moved on” Nikki smiles slightly “I’ve got to go babe, I’ll see you on Monday”
Trish looked up and smiled at Nikki half – heartedly.
“See you Monday” she replied. Nikki kissed Trish’s forehead as she left. Trish rolled her eyes at herself, thinking that it didn’t go as she planned.

Nikki and Helen hadn’t planned to do anything special tonight; they just wanted to spend time together. Nikki loved just being with her, they didn’t have to do anything. She walked up to Helen’s front door, knocked first and walked inside.
“Helen” she called out, but there was no reply. Nikki popped her head round the living room door; she wasn’t there, not in the Kitchen either, so she made her way upstairs.
“Helen?” Nikki called out again, there was still no reply. As she got further up the stairs she heard water running in the bathroom. She knocked on the bathroom door.
“Helen? Are you in there?” Silence.
Nikki pushed the door open to find Helen slumped in the shower staring into space. Nikki rushed over to her.
“Helen?! Helen, what’s wrong?” Nikki turned the water off, Helen didn’t say a thing. Nikki picked up a towel and wrapped it round Helen and lifted her out the shower and into the bedroom. Nikki sat Helen on the bed and wrapped her arms around her, keeping her warm.
“Helen, talk to me” Nikki pleaded as she rubbed her hands up and down Helen’s sides and back to help dry her.
“Please babes, tell me what’s wrong….did you go to work today to see your boss”
Helen looked Nikki straight in the eyes and burst into tears. This startled Nikki. She was really worried about her. Nikki held her close and tried to calm her down.
“What’s happened? You’re scaring me”
Helen lifted her head off Nikki’s shoulder and opened her mouth to speak, she found it hard to speak from all the crying she done.
“I tried…to quit….hone…stly I did”
“Ok, ok, calm down baby, tell me what happened” Nikki kissed the side of her head. “Take some deep breaths” she instructed, Helen did as she said. She wiped the tears away from her eyes, exposing her red wrists. Nikki noticed them.
“Did he do that to you?!?!” she asked fuming. Helen nodded.
“He said that…I cant quit because he helped me…..when I needed help most…..and then when I…said I was and he…couldn’t stop me…he…”
“Its ok sweetheart, take your time” Nikki soothed her and pushed a stray strand of her behind her ear.
“…he pinned me against the wall….by my neck…and..and called me a joke” as she finished the last word, she let the tears flow freely again. Nikki pulled her closer to her and comforted her.
“Im gonna kill him!” Nikki exclaimed “Where does he get off touching you like that?!”
Helen lifted her head up sharply.
“No Nikki! This my battle, you can’t do anything”
Nikki lifted Helen’s head up to look at her neck.
“Jesus Helen, your neck is all bruised…..your not going back there tomorrow! No way!”
“I have to!” Helen shouted.
“No Helen you don’t, as far as im concerned, you quit today! Im not having you in the same place as him. I don’t want him touching you ever again”
“He said if im not there, he’ll find me” She looks at Nikki terrified. Nikki kneels down on the floor in front of Helen who is still sitting on the bed.
“Im not going anywhere, so if he does come to find you, im here and I will deal with him!”
“He really scared me” Helen looked defeated.
“Darlin’ he can’t touch you while im here, I promise” Nikki stood up and pulled Helen up into a cuddle. Helen hugged her really tight, as if her life depended on it. Nikki could feel Helen shivering.
“Your cold, come on, lets get you dressed” Helen nods and puts one of Nikki’s shirts on that she left, well, now its Helen’s shirt. It was getting late, Helen didn’t really have the energy to do anything so Helen lay in bed, resting her head on Nikki’s shoulder, they had their arms wrapped round each other. Nikki had put some music on in the background before she had got into bed. Mario – Let Me Love You was the first song that played.

“You should let me love you, let me be the one to give you everything you want and need, baby good love and protection, make me your selection, show you the way love’s supposed to be, baby you should let me love you”

“Nikki?”
“Mmm?”
“I love you” she said as she looked up at her. Nikki looked back at Helen as she played with Helen’s hair.
“I love you too”
Helen sat herself up a bit so she could kiss Nikki. Their kiss was tender; it confirmed how they felt for each other. They pulled back and smiled at each other. Helen rested her head back on her shoulder; she didn’t want Nikki to see just how terrified she was of Jim Fenner. Nikki knew Helen was scared of Fenner but she was determined to protect her from him, no matter what the consequence.

Chapter 5
Helen woke up to the sun shining through her window; she looked at the clock, 9:31am. She sighed and turned over to cuddle Nikki. She felt the bed beside her, it was empty. She sat up quickly realising she was alone.
“Nikki?!” she shouted out. She jumped out of bed panicking. “Nikki!?”
Nikki came rushing out of the bathroom.
“What? Are you ok?” Nikki asked worriedly. Helen looked relieved to see her, ran over to her and threw her arms around her.
“I thought you’d left me and I was alone” Helen rested her head on Nikki’s shoulder and kissed her neck.
“I told you I’m not going anywhere, you’re ok. No one can get in the house, its all locked up darlin”
“I know I know, I’m sorry, I’m just being stupid”
“You’re not being stupid, but you’ve got to trust me, your safe with me”
“I do trust you” Helen replies releasing her grip a little bit, allowing Nikki to breathe. Helen pulled Nikki towards the bed.
“Nikki, I need to feel you inside of me, I need to feel you close to me” Helen moved closer to Nikki’s lips and kissed her softly. Nikki’s hands caressed every part of Helen’s back. Helen fell back onto the bed and pulled Nikki with her. Nikki straddled her and kissed her gently on her lips, Helen responded by sucking on Nikki’s top lip. Nikki stroked Helen’s hair. Their kisses became faster and more desperate for each others soft touch. Nikki sat up and took her shirt off; Helen helped her undo her jeans, which she had just put on. As she helped, Helen kissed her toned stomach and held onto her hips as she did so. Nikki lifted Helen’s shirt over her head, which left Helen totally naked. She licked all the way up Nikki’s abdomen, undid Nikki’s bra then through it across the room. Nikki pushed Helen back gently and continued to plant butterfly kisses down her neck, between her breasts. Helen ran a hand through Nikki’s hair. Nikki moved one hand between Helen’s thighs and one hand on her breast. Helen threw her head back. Nikki could feel how turned on Helen was by how wet she was. Nikki brought herself back up to meet Helen’s lips; their tongues explored each other’s mouths. A moan escaped both their lips. Nikki inserted 2 fingers into Helen’s hot centre as she left kisses on her neck. Helen moaned with pleasure and arched her back.
“Nikki! Oh god! Nikki, don’t stop! YES!”
Helen’s body trembled as she was close, much to Nikki’s delight. Nikki moved her fingers faster, which made Helen, bite her fingers to try and stop herself from screaming. Seeing Helen in that state turned Nikki on even more.
“OH god Nikki!” Helen managed to shout out as she peaked. Her body trembled again as she came back down. She was out of breath and hot and bothered. Nikki kissed Helen as she got her breath back.
“Oh Nikki, your amazing. Thank you. I love you so much”
“I love you too” Nikki says as she kisses her shoulder. Helen sits up and re positions herself so she is now sitting on top of Nikki. Helen has a playful grin on her face.
“What are you doing?” Nikki asks smiling.
“What do you think I’m doing?” Helen teasingly kisses Nikki’s neck and chest. Nikki bites her bottom lip. Helen moves down and kisses the inside of her thigh. She teases her a bit then moves up her body by licking her, she reaches her breasts and squeezes them lightly, and it makes Nikki moan a little. Helen moves back up to meet Nikki’s eyes. Helen caresses Nikki’s face as she leans in to kiss her, their kiss is slower and more sensual than before, there’s no rush, Nikki opens her mouth and lets Helen’s tongue enter. Nikki wraps her arm around Helen and pulls her close, the need to feel her hot naked body on hers. Helen moves her hand down between Nikki’s thighs, she can feel the wetness off Nikki, Helen moves two fingers inside of her, Nikki lifts her body off the bed because of the pleasure she is feeling from Helen.
“Helen! Oh, Helen!” Nikki screams.
Nikki trembled as she was beginning to climax. Helen kissed her neck; Nikki had to bite her lip because the pleasure was so intense.
“Yes, oh god, YES!” She trembled again as she came back down to Earth. They both fell back onto the bed exhausted but not before they shared another kiss, they were both shivering.
“No…one has ever made me feel that good” Nikki said trying to regain her composure.
“I must be extra special then” Helen grinned as she closed her eyes.
“You must be” Nikki turned on her side to face her and sighed contentedly. “Now we’ve had a good start to the day, what do you want to do today?”
Helen propped her head up with her arm and turned to face Nikki.
“I don’t know, we could go shopping?” Helen says hinting more than suggesting.
“Shopping it is then….we got to get dressed first though” Nikki kisses Helen’s forehead then gets out of bed. Helen shortly follows in her footsteps.

After what seemed like hours of shopping, they returned to Helen’s. Helen came back loaded with bags, where as Nikki just had one.
“It looks like you bought the whole of the shopping centre!” Nikki says as she places their bags on the floor.
“A girl can never have too many clothes, shoes, bags, jewellery…”
“The list goes on” Nikki laughed.
Helen took her coat off and hung it up, giving Nikki one of those ‘don’t you mock me’ looks. Helen’s face became serious, almost as if she was about to cry, she turned to Nikki.
“Nikki…will you stay here with me again tonight? I don’t want to be alone”
“Of course I will, come here” Nikki took Helen’s hand and embraced her protectively “I will have to go to my place and pick up some clean clothes though”
“Ok, but don’t be too long”
“I will be back before you know it” Nikki kissed the side of her head. Helen smiled. She let Nikki go.
“Lock the door behind me” Helen nodded. As Nikki left Helen locked the door and looked around, she mentally told herself no one could get in and that she was safe. Nikki wouldn’t be too long.

Helen was busy tidying up the Kitchen, trying to keep busy until Nikki got back. She was in a world of her own and didn’t hear the door open. She turned round to dry her hands and screamed at who was standing in the door way.
“My face isn’t that bad is it?” He smirked eerily.
“How did you get in?!” Helen was horrified.
“I used to own this place before you bought it off me, remember?” He held up the set of keys.
“What do you want from me?”
“I told you if you didn’t turn up for work, id come and find you…”
Fenner moved closer to her. Helen kept her back as close to the kitchen bench as she could.
“I told you…I…I quit” she gripped the bench to keep herself steady.
“Ah but Helen, it’s not really about that anymore…its about me” He got so close to her, he was inches away from her face. Her voice became shaky.
“Y…y..you?”
“Yes me! And what I need, because every man has needs, you know that, don’t you?” he winked. She tried to escape from him, but he just grabbed her and pushed her onto the floor.
“NOOO!” she shouted.
He held her arms down with one hand and undid his trouser with the other. Helen screamed out.
“NOOO! GET OFF ME! PLEASE!”
“SHUT UP! You know you want this just as much as I do; you’ve been gagging for it” He pulled her trousers down. Helen screamed again, tears began to fall from her eyes. She shook her head; she couldn’t believe this was happening to her. He started to kiss her roughly; Helen fought him but wasn’t succeeding. Just as he was about to enter her, she heard the front door open.
“NIKKI!” she cried out in despair.
Fenner was startled, he jumped up and tried to escape but he was not going to get past Nikki. Nikki heard Helen cry out; she ran into the Kitchen and found Fenner on top of Helen.
“You bastard!” Nikki was filled with anger and rage. Fenner tried to run past Nikki but she was onto him, she punched him square in the face and knocked him out, she decided to give him a kick in the stomach just for good measure. Fenner was out cold. Nikki rushed to Helen. Helen was crying and shaking. Nikki picked Helen up off the floor and took her into the living room. As she placed Helen on the sofa, she picked up the phone and dialled 999. She was told the Police would be round as soon as possible. Nikki hugged Helen tight to reassure her.
“I’m sorry baby. I shouldn’t have left you” Nikki kissed the top of her head. Helen gripped Nikki’s top and sobbed into her chest.
The Police arrived just as Fenner was coming round. He yelped in pain. The two policemen picked him up and dragged him out to the car.
“I hope you rot in Hell!” Nikki called at him.
“I’m gonna get you for this!” he shouted back at her. The third policeman came over to Helen and Nikki.
“I’m sorry ma’am but I’m going to have to take a statement off you”
“Does it really have to be now?” Nikki asks agitated.
“I’m afraid so, while she still remembers it”
“It’s not like she’s going forget this in a hurry is she?!” Nikki retorted.
“It’s ok Nikki, I’ll do it now” Helen wipes her eyes and tries to pull herself together. She gives the policeman her statement, and he says they will be in touch. Nikki sees him to the door then rejoins Helen.
“I’m so sorry Helen, I should have stayed here with you”
“It’s ok, this was bound to happen at some point, I asked for it” Helen said as she stared at the wall.
“No you didn’t ask for this, no one asks for it!”
“He said I was gagging for it, how would he know that if I wasn’t asking for it?”
“Helen, he’s a bastard, he made you believe those things. You were not asking for it!”
“I need to have a shower” she said standing up but not quite steady on her feet.
“Ok, do you want me to help you up the stairs?” Nikki asked steadying her.
“Please….I don’t want you to leave me alone, I want you to make me clean again and get his smell of my skin”
“If you’re sure?” Helen nodded. Nikki helped her up the stairs and into the shower. Helen let the water fall all over her body. Nikki pushed Helen’s hair out of her face and held her close. They just stood there and let the water cascade over there bodies.
“He can’t touch me anymore can he?” Helen asked.
“No sweetheart he can’t. He’s locked up. He can’t get anywhere near you, I promise” Helen hugged Nikki tighter. Helen took Nikki’s head in her hands and kissed her passionately. They pulled back and rested their foreheads on each other. The water was warm and gentle on their skin.
“I don’t know what I’d do if I didn’t have you” Helen whispers softly. Nikki kisses the top of her head.

I told you I wanted Fenner to come near Helen so Nikki could smack him one! :lol: Great update Lizi xx
