I'd love to see Mandana in more complex roles again. I'm thinking she'd be great in controversial, political, or indie roles. Feminist as well in the sense that they would represent strong women in a positive way....

I think Hillary Swank has made a reputation for herself playing some of those types of roles. There are other actresses who've become known for their strong and complex female roles, like Glenn Close and Vanessa Redgraves, feel free to add names.

I'd just like to see Mandana in roles where her strength would be an asset.

I'm with you guys. I'll watch her in anything, commercials included, but it's unfortunate we haven't seen her in stronger, smarter roles ... which, it seems to me, would be more in line with the character and intelligence that comes through in her interviews.
