I have kinda wondered if Bad Girls got good ratings in South Africa. Does anyone know?

It's very difficult to tell. BG was aired on M-Net, which is part of our satellite TV network, therefore only those with satellite had access to BG. M-Net aired all 8 series', so it must have been a success. I've also seen a poll where they asked viewers what their favourite prison-themed show was - the result should give you a good indication of BG's popularity:
Prison Break: 27.9%
Oz: 3.4%
Porridge: 0.0%
Bad Girls: a whopping 68.7%!!!
All in all I would conclude that, yes, BG was a ratings success in SA!

BTW, M-Net (pronounced as is - "Em net") was the word that SL battled so much to pronounce in the SA Trailer outtakes. She kept on saying something like "Emmennet", but in the end she got there!

I think she was saying it like "M-N-et" or "M N Net" , instead of "M-Net" :)
